| Judul Artikel | Representasi Konflik Sosial dalam Novel Mangun Karya Sergius Sutanto |
| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini berjudul "Representasi Konflik Sosial dalam Novel Mangun Karya Sergius Sutanto". Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan struktur dan gambaran konflik sosial dalam novel M angun. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif analisis dengan menggunakan pendekatan sosiologi sastra dan fokus penelitian mendeskripsikan konflik sosial. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer berupa novel Mangun karya Sergius Sutanto, dan data sekunder berupa buku-buku teori, jurnal, artikel yang berasal dari media cetak maupun elektronik yang dianggap relevan dalam penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan membaca novel Mangun secara intensif lalu mereduksi data yang tidak penting untuk diklasifikasikan berdasarkan penelitian. Teknik analisis data yang dilakukan adalah menganalisis data yang sesuai dengan struktur novel seperti tokoh dan penokohan, alur, dan latar dalam novel Mangun. Struktur tersebut diuraikan kembali menggunakan pendekatan sosiologi sastra untuk menemukan gambaran konflik sosial dalam novel Mangun dan selanjutnya menyimpulkan hasil analisis. Gambaran konflik sosial yang terdapat dalam novel Mangun adalah konflik vertikal dan konflik horizontal. Konflik vertikal yang terjadi di dalam cerita diakibatkan oleh pemilik kekuasaan, yaitu pemerintah yang bertindak semena-mena terhadap rakyat kecil. Konflik horizontal yang terjadi di dalam cerita diakibatkan karena adanya rakyat yang memiliki perbedaan pandangan mengenai tindakan semena-mena pemerintah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa konflik sosial dapat terjadi karena adanya perbedaan kepentingan. Pemilik kuasa yang bertindak semena-mena terhadap rakyat dapat mengakibatkan adanya konflik sosial, baik vertikal maupun horizontal. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This research entitled "Representasi Konflik Sosial dalam Novel Mangun Karya Sergius Sutanto". The purpose of the research is to describe the structure and the social conflict description in Novel Mangun. The method that used in this research is Analysis Descriptive with using Sociology of Literature approach and the focus of the research is describes the social conflict description. The data source that used in this research such as primary data is Novel Mangun by Sergius Sutanto, and the secondary data from print media or electronic which is relevant with the research. Technique of data collection in this research is conducted with read the novel intensively, reducing the useless data, classifying data based on the research. The technique of analysis data that conducted is analyze the data that has been classified so that the writer can find the structure of novel in the form of characters and characterizations, plot and the background in Novel Mangun. That structures are described with sociology of literature approach to find the social conflict description in Novel Mangun. The social conflict description in Novel Mangun are Vertical Conflict and Horizontal Conflict. Vertical Conflict that happens in the story caused by the owner of the power is the government treats the communities cruelly. And the Horizontal Conflict that happens in the story caused the communities have different point of view about the treatment of the cruelly government. Based on the result of the research, we can conclude that social conflict can happen because there is the difference of importance. The owner of the power who treats cruelly to the communities causes the social conflict, either vertical or hotizontal conflict. |
