| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian berjudul “Hubungan Karakteristik Peternak dengan Minat Peternak terhadap Adopsi Teknologi Pembuatan Pupuk Kompos pada Peternak Sapi Perah di Kecamatan Kertek Kabupaten Wonosobo”. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui karakteristik peternak sapi perah yang dilihat dari jumlah ternak yang dipelihara dengan lama beternak, serta hubungan karakteristik peternak dengan minat peternak terhadap adopsi teknologi pembuatan pupuk kompos pada peternak sapi perah di Kecamatan Kertek, Kabupaten Wonosobo. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada 2-15 Agustus 2017 di Kecamatan Kertek, Kabupaten Wonosobo. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei pada peternak sapi perah di wilayah Kecamatan Kertek, Kabupaten Wonosobo dengan pendekatan karakteristik eksploratif. Metode penentuan wilayah dilakukan dengan purposive sampling. Pemilihan sampel kelompok dilakukan dengan cara memilih 2 kelompok peternak sapi perah yang berada di Kecamatan kertek dan penentuan responden dilakukan secara sensus pada seluruh anggota kelompok peternak yang terpilih di Kecamatan Kertek, Kabupaten Wonosobo. Jumlah responden sebanyak 40 peternak. Variabel yang diamati dan diukur adalah jumlah ternak yang dipelihara (X1) dan lama beternak (X2) serta minat peternak terhadap adopsi teknologi pembuatan pupuk kompos (Y). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara jumlah ternak yang dipelihara dengan minat peternak sesudah dilakukan penyuluhan tentang inovasi teknologi pembuatan pupuk kompos. Sedangkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara lama beternak dengan minat peternak sesudah dilakukan penyuluhan tentang adopsi inovasi teknologi pembuatan pupuk kompos. Inggris) | The research entitled "Relationship of Breeder Characteristics with Farmer's Interests on Technology Adoption of Compost Fertilizer on Dairy Farmers in Distric Kertek Kabupaten Wonosobo". This study is to determine the characteristics of dairy farmers seen from the number of livestock maintained with the long breeding interest of farmers on the technology adoption of compost fertilizer on dairy farmers in Kecamatan Kertek, Wonosobo regency. The research was conducted on 2-15 August 2017 in Kecamatan Kertek, Kabupaten Wonosobo. This research used survey method on dairy farmers in Kertek District, Wonosobo Regency with explorative descriptive approach. The method of determining the area by purposive sampling. Selection of group sample by selecting 2 groups of dairy farmers located in District Kertek and determination of respondents conducted by census on all members of the selected group of farmers in Kecamatan Kertek, Wonosobo regency. The number of respondents is 40 farmers. The variables observed and measured were the number of livestock kept (X1), the long breeding (X2) and the interest of farmers on the adoption of the technology of making compost fertilizer (Y). The results showed no significant relationship between the number of livestock maintained with the interest of farmers after the counseling about the technological innovations of making compost. There is a significant relationship between the long breeding with the interests of farmers after the counseling about the adoption of technological innovations making compost fertilizer.
