| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang resepsi penonton perempuan terhadap isu pernikahan dini dalam serial Anandhi. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui resepsi perempuan dewasa terhadap isu pernikahan dini yang direpresentasikan ke dalam film dengan mengeksplorasi Muted Group Theory. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode analisis resepsi, yang menyatakan bahwa khalayak aktif dalam memaknai teks media. Metode pengumpulan data dengan dua cara yaitu Focus Group Discussion (FGD) dan wawancara mendalam. Penentuan informan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dan dibagi menjadi dua kelompok berdasarkan diferensiasi latar belakangnya. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini yaitu secara umum, keseluruhan informan penonton perempuan tidak menerima begitu saja pemaknaan yang ditawarkan oleh tayangan. Mereka secara kritis memaknai tayangan berdasarkan sudut pandangnya masing-masing. Ditemukan tiga faktor yang signifikan terhadap keberagaman pemaknaan informan, yaitu usia dan pengalaman hidup, pendidikan dan pola pikir, serta kondisi ekonomi informan. Dari hasil analisis spectrum of reading David Morley, kelompok oppositional reading terdiri dari delapan informan yang tersebar dari kedua kelompok. Sedangkan kelompok dominant reading dan negotiated reading masing-masing terdapat satu informan yang berasal dari kelompok dewasa madya. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This study examines the reception of female audiences on the issue of early marriage in the Anandhi series. This study was conducted to find out the reception of adult women on the issue of early marriage that is represented into the film by exploring Muted Group Theory. This research is a qualitative research with the method of reception analysis, which states that the audience is active in interpreting media texts. Data collection methods in two ways are Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and in-depth interview. Determination of informants using purposive sampling technique and divided into two groups based on the background differentiation. The result of this research is that in general, all female audience informants do not accept the meaning offered by the impression. They critically interpret the impressions based on their respective point of view. Three factors were found to be significant on the diversity of informants, which are age and life experience, education and mindset, and economic condition of informants. From the analysis of David Morley’s spectrum of reading, oppositional reading group consisted of eight informants spread from both groups. While the dominant reading and negotiated reading groups each have an informant from the middle adult group. |
