Judul ArtikelPERBEDAAN KADAR TESTOSTERON SERUM TIKUS PUTIH (Rattus norvegicus) JANTAN PASCA INDUKSI BERBAGAI MODEL STRES SLEEP DEPRIVATION

ABSTRACT
Background : Sleep Deprivation can cause disrupt of HPA axis, HPG axis, and increased oxidative stress which related with male infertility. Sleep recovery (SR) can induce secretion of melatonin as an antioxidant to improve male reproduction function.
Objective : To know the difference of Testosteron Serum level in male albino rats (Rattus norvegicus) after induction various models of sleep deprivation stress. Method: This research was an experimental research with posttest only and control group design. Thirty male albino rats were distributed into 5 groups, A (health control), B (PSD 20 hours/day for 5 days), C (TSD 24 hours/day for 5 days), D (PSD 20 hours/day for the first 5 days then continue with sleep recovery for the next 5 days), and E (TSD 24 hours/day for the first 5 days then continue with sleep recovery for the next 5 days).
Result: The highest mean of Testosteron found in group B (19,79±9,22 ng/ml), followed by group D (14,78±9,78 ng/ml), group A (13,68±6,02 ng/ml), group E (10,48±4,83 ng/ml), while the lowest mean found in group C (10,30±5,65 ng/ml). One Way ANOVA test showed no significant difference (p> 0,05) of Testosteron mean level in all study groups.
Conclusion : There was no significant difference of Testosteron Serum mean level in male albino rats (Rattus norvegicus) after the induction various models of sleep deprivation stress.
