| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Latar Belakang: Sleep deprivation menimbulkan stres biologis pada tubuh dan gangguan pada aksis HPA sehingga meningkatkan sekresi hormon kortisol. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kadar kortisol pasca induksi berbagai model stres sleep deprivation pada hewan coba. Desain Penelitian: Metode penelitian adalah true eksperimental dengan post test only with control group design dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 25 ekor Rattus norvegicus strain Wistar jantan yang dibagi secara acak menjadi 5 kelompok, yaitu kelompok kontrol, Paradoxical Sleep Deprivation (PSD), Total Sleep Deprivation (TSD), PSD dengan Sleep Recovery (SR), dan TSD dengan SR. Hasil: Kadar kortisol diukur dengan metode ELISA dan terdapat peningkatan signifikan rerata kortisol (p<0,005; Kruskal Wallis) yaitu pada kelompok kontrol (22.2124) ng/ml, PSD (55.2256) ng/ml, TSD (56.2302) ng/ml, PSD dengan SR (44.8412) ng/ml, dan TSD dengan SR (44.8412) ng/ml. Hasil uji post-hoc menunjukkan perbedaan bermakna antarkelompok (p<0,005; Mann-Whitney) pada kelompok kontrol dengan PSD, kelompok kontrol dengan TSD, kelompok kontrol dengan PSD dan SR, dan kelompok kontrol dengan TSD dan SR. Kesimpulan: Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan kadar kortisol pasca induksi berbagai model stres sleep deprivation pada tikus putih jantan strain Wistar. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Background: Sleep deprivation is biological stress that alters HPA axis so that increases cortisol secretion. Objective: The aim of this study was to analyze the difference of cortisol levels after induction of stress model sleep deprivation in rats. Design: The method was an true experimental with post test only with control group design, 25 male Rattus norvegicus strain Wistar divided randomly into 5 groups: control group, paradoxical sleep deprivation (PSD), total sleep deprivation (TSD), PSD continued with sleep recovery (SR), and TSD continued with SR. Results: Cortisol levels was measured by ELISA method and there was significant increase (p<0,005; Kruskal Wallis) of cortisol levels in control group (22.2124) ng/ml, PSD (55.2256) ng/ml, TSD (56.2302) ng/ml, PSD continued with SR (44.8412) ng/ml, and TSD continued with SR (44.8412) ng/ml. Post-hoc test showed significant differences between groups (p<0,005; Mann-Whitney) namely in control group with PSD, control group with TSD, control group with PSD continued with SR, and control group with TSD continued with SR. Conclusion: This study concluded that there was significance differences of cortisol levels after induction of stress model sleep deprivation of male Rattus norvegicus strain Wistar. |
