| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | LATAR BELAKANG : Stres akibat sleep deprivation dapat menurunkan kadar antioksidan tubuh dan meningkatkan produksi radikal bebas yang menyebabkan stres oksidatif. Sleep recovery dapat menurunkan produksi radikal bebas dengan mekanisme pemulihan kadar antioksidan endogen yang dapat memperbaiki stres oksidatif akibat sleep deprivation. TUJUAN : Mengetahui perbedaan kadar malondialdehid (MDA) pada tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus) jantan pasca induksi berbagai model stres sleep deprivation METODE : Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental dengan desain posttest only with control group. Tiga puluh ekor tikus putih dibagi secara acak menjadi 5 kelompok yaitu kontrol sehat, PSD (20 jam/hari selama 5 hari), TSD (24jam/hari selama 5 hari), PSD + SR (20 jam/hari selama 5 hari pertama dilanjutkan dengan sleep recovery selama 5 hari berikutnya), dan TSD+SR (24 jam/hari selama 5 hari pertama dilanjutkan dengan sleep recovery selama 5 hari berikutnya). HASIL : Rerata kadar MDA tertinggi terdapat pada kelompok TSD (1,42 ± 1,16 µmol/l), diikuti kelompok TSD+SR (1,12 ± 0,59 µmol/l), kelompok PSD+SR (0,47 ± 0,6 µmol/l), kelompok PSD (0,47 ± 0,63 µmol/l), dan terendah kontrol (0,38 ± 0,33 µmol/l). Uji One Way ANOVA menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan (p>0,05) rerata kadar MDA pada semua kelompok penelitian. KESIMPULAN : Tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan rerata kadar MDA pada tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus) jantan pasca induksi berbagai model stres sleep deprivation. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | BACKGROUND : Stress caused by sleep deprivation is able to decrease antioxidants system and increase free radical production which causes oxidative stress. Sleep recovery could decrease free radical production by recovery of endogenous antioxidant levels then improve oxidative stress due to sleep deprivation. OBJECTIVE : To know the difference of malondialdehyde (MDA) level in male albino rats (Rattus norvegicus) after induction of various models of sleep deprivation stress. METHOD: This research was an experimental research with posttest only and control group design. Thirty male albino rats were distributed into 5 groups, control (health control), PSD (20 hours/day sleep derivation for 5 days), TSD (24 hours/day sleep deprivation for 5 days), PSD+SR (20 hours/day sleep deprivation for the first 5 days continued with sleep recovery for the next 5 days), and TSD+SR (24 hours/day sleep deprivation for the first 5 days continued with sleep recovery for the next 5 days). RESULT: The highest mean of MDA level was in group TSD (1,42 ± 1,16 µmol/l), followed by group TSD+SR (1.12 ± 0.59 μmol / l), group PSD+SR (0.47 ± 0.6 μmol / l ), group PSD (0.47 ± 0.63 μmol / l), and the lowest was group control (0.38 ± 0.33 μmol / l). One Way ANOVA test showed no significant difference (p> 0,05) of MDA mean level in all study groups. CONCLUSION : There was no significant difference of MDA mean level in male albino rats (Rattus norvegicus) after induction various models of sleep deprivation stress. |
