| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui bagaimana pola hubungan patron-klien yang terjadi di Desa Larangan, Kecamatan Pengadegan, Kabupaten Purbalingga. sasaran utama penelitian ini yaitu sembilan orang yang mana yang terdiri dari tiga patron dan enam klien. Hubungan patron klien yang ada di Desa Larangan sudah tidak banyak ditemukan seperti apa yang dipaparkan oleh James Scott tentang hubungan patron klien yang mana patron bertanggungjawab memberikan kebutuhan subsistensi. Terdapat beberapa klien yang pada saat terjadi musim paceklik yang mana pekerjaannya hanya bergantung pada pertanian tidak diberikan perhatian dari patron berupa pemberian pemenuhan kebutuhan subsistensi seperti beras atau sembako. Tetapi masih ada sebagian patron yang masih memberikan perhatian maupun tanggung jawab terhadap klien seperti memberikan kebutuhan subsistensi, memberikan bantuan secara sukarela baik berupa uang maupun hasil pertaniannya sendiri seperti pisang, dan memberikan bantuan berobat untuk memeriksakan kesehatannya ketika kliennya sedang sakit. Inggris) | The purpose of this study is to find out how the pattern of patron-client relationship that occurred in the Village Larangan, District Pengadegan, Purbalingga District. the main target of this research is nine people which consists of three patrons and six clients. The results of this study that the relationship of patron clients in the village of Larangan is not much found as what is described by James Scott about the relationship of patron clients in which the patron is responsible for providing subsistence needs. There are some clients who in the event of a famine season whose job depends only on agriculture is not given the attention of the patron in the form of providing subsistence needs such as rice or food. But there are still some patrons who still give the attention and responsibility to the client such as providing subsistence needs, providing voluntary assistance both in the form of money and agricultural products like bananas, and provide medical help to check their health when clients are sick.
