| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini betujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan ekstrak buah mengkudu (Morinda citrifolia L) yang paling optimal untuk teat dipping sapi perah terhadap total mikroba dan sel somatik susu. Materi yang digunakan adalah 24 ekor sapi perah, aquades, buah mengkudu dan seperangkat alat untuk perhitungan total mikroba dan sel somatik. Metode yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 4 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan kemudian dilanjutkan dengan uji ortogonal polinomial. Perlakuan yang digunakan adalah P0 (teat dipping dengan aquades 100 ml), P1 (teat dipping dengan ekstrak buah mengkudu 10% b/v), P2 (teat dipping dengan ekstak buah mengkudu 20% b/v), P3 (teat dipping dengan ekstrak buah mengkudu 30% b/v). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teat dipping dengan perlakuan P0, P1, P2 dan P3 berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01). Uji lanjut ortogonal polinomial menunjukkan bahwa teat tipping dengan ekstrak buah mengkudu (Morinda citifolia L) sampai dengan konsentrasi 20% b/v dapat menurunkan total mikroba dan sel somatik susu. Kesimpulannya adalah teat dipping sapi perah yang paling optimal menggunakan ekstrak buah mengkudu 20% b/v. |

Inggris) | The purpose of this research was to determine the most optimal use of noni fruit (Morinda citrifolia L) extract for teat dipping of dairy cow that affect total microbial in milk and somatic cell. The research material were 24 dairy cows, aquades, noni fruit and devices to measure total microbial and somatic cell of the milk. The method was completely randomized design with 4 treatment consisting of P0 (teat dipping with 100 ml aquades), P1 (teat dipping with 10% w/v of noni fuit extract), P2 (teat dipping with 20% w/v of noni fruit extract) and P3 (teat dipping with 30% w/v of noni fruit extract), each of it was replicated 6 times and continued with orthogonal polynomial test. The result shows that the four treatment of teat dipping were significantly effective (P<0,01). The orthogonal polynomial test result shows that teat dipping with the extract of noni fruit (Morinda citrifolia L) until 20% w/v of the extract can reduce milk’s total microbial and somatic cell. Conclusions of this research is that the most optimal use of extract for dairy cow teat dipping is the one with 20% w/v of the extract. |
