| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Kailan (Brassica oleracea) merupakan salah satu komoditas tanaman sayuran yang memiliki nilai ekonomi tinggi. Kailan lebih diminati jika dipanen saat masih muda atau disebut dengan Baby kailan. Tanaman yang ditanam secara hidroponik lebih sedikit menghasilkan residu kimia. Salah satu alternatif lain untuk menekan tingkat residu pestisida adalah menggunakan pupuk organik cair. Urine kelinci dapat digunakan sebagai sumber pupuk organik cair yang potensial untuk tanaman sayuran pada sistem hidroponik. Tanaman akan tumbuh dengan baik jika unsur hara yang dibutuhkan cukup dan lingkungan sekitar mendukung untuk pertumbuhan. Hal tersebut dapat diatasi dengan pengunaan dosis pupuk yang tepat dan pemilihan media tanam yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui taraf konsentrasi optimal, mengetahui media tanam terbaik , dan mengetahui interaksi antara konsentrasi dan media tanam terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil hidroponik baby kailan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di screen house Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jenderal Soedirman Purwokerto dengan ketinggian tempat berkisar 88 meter di atas permukaan laut (mdpl), pada bulan Juni sampai dengan Juli 2017. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Petak Terbagi (Split Plot Design), dengan dua faktor. Main Plot berupa konsentrasi POC urin yaitu: 600 ppm (K1); 800 ppm (K2) ; 1000 ppm (K3) dan 1200 ppm (K4). Sub Plot berupa media tanam yang meliputi Zeolit (M1), Arang sekam (M2) dan Rockwool (M3). Variabel pengamatan meliputi tinggi tanaman, bobot tanaman segar, bobot tanaman kering, luas daun, jumlah daun serta panjang akar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi terbaik untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil baby kailan adalah 800 ppm (K2). Media tanam terbaik untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil baby kailan adalah zeolite (M1). Interaksi perlakuan terbaik adalah K2 dengan M1 (konsentrasi 800 ppm dengan media tanam zeolite). |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Kailan (Brassica oleracea) is one of vegetable commodities that has a high value in economic. Kailan is likely demanded if it harvested in such a young age known as the Baby Kailan. Hydroponic based plants produce lesser chemical residues. Another alternative way to lessen the level of pesticide residues is to use liquid organic fertilizer. Rabbit urine can be used as a potential source of liquid organic fertilizer for vegetable crops on hydroponics systems. Plants will grow well if they have enough nutrients that they need and the surrounding environment supports the growth. In this case, by using appropriate doses of fertilizer and selection of appropriate growing medium. This research goals are to find out the effect of various concentration of liquid organic fertilizer of rabbit urine on the growth and the crop of Baby Kailan, determine the effect of growing medium to the growth and the yield of Baby Kailan, and discover the interaction between concentration and the growing medium on the growth and the yield of Baby Kailan This research has been conducted in the screen house at the Agricultural Faculty of Jenderal Soedirman University Purwokerto, in Karangwangkal, North Purwokerto with the altitude for about 88 meters above sea level, from June 2017 until July 2017. This research used the Split Plot Design. with two factors. The Main Plot was the concentration of urine: 600; 800; 1000 and 1200 ppm. The Sub Plot was the growing medium namely Zeolite, Charcoal husk and Rockwool. The variables observed the plant’s height, weight, dry weight, leaf area, number of leaves and the the root length. Moreover, the result of this research shows that the best concentration for the growth and the yield of Baby Kailan was on 800 ppm (K2). The best growing medium for the growth and the crop of Baby Kailan was Zeolite (M1). And the best intteraction of treatment was K2 with M1 (800 ppm concentration with Zeolite growing medium). |
