| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Purwoceng (Pimpinella pruatjan Molk.) adalah tanaman dengan efek afrodisiak. Zat aktif yang dikandungnya berpotensi merusak ginjal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek pemberian ekstrak etanol akar purwoceng secara kronik (3 bulan atau 90 hari) terhadap perubahan kadar ureum dan kreatinin hewan coba. Metode yang digunakan yaitu eksperimental pre and post test with control group design dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 32 ekor Rattus norvegicus strain Wistar jantan yang dibagi secara acak menjadi 4 kelompok, yaitu A (kontrol), B (dosis 21 mg/kgBB/hari), C (dosis 42 mg/kgBB/hari) dan D (dosis 84 mg/kgBB/hari). Kadar ureum darah diukur dengan metode Urease-GLDH (λ 340 nm) dan kreatinin darah dengan metode Jaffe (λ 492 nm). Terdapat peningkatan signifikan (p<0,05; uji 2 sampel berpasangan) kadar ureum sebelum dan setelah perlakuan pada kelompok B (20,72±8,63) mg/dL, C (22±14,45 mg/dL), D (36,86±9,87) mg/dL dan kreatinin pada kelompok C (0,71±0,36) mg/dL. Terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kadar ureum antarkelompok (p<0,05; Anova) dan perubahan kadar kreatinin antarkelompok (p<0,05; Kruskal-Wallis). Hasil uji post-hoc menunjukkan perbedaan bermakna antarkelompok (p<0,05) pada kadar ureum (kelompok B dengan A&D; C dengan D) dan kreatinin (kelompok A dengan B&D; B dengan C&D; C dengan D). Terdapat pengaruh pemberian ekstrak etanol akar purwoceng secara kronik terhadap kadar ureum dan kreatinin darah pada tikus putih strain Wistar jantan. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Purwoceng (Pimpinella pruatjan Molk.) is a plant that has an aphrodisiac effect. The active substances contained in purwoceng potentially leading to kidney damage. The aim of this study was to analyze the effect of chronic (3 month or 90-day) administration of purwoceng roots ethanol extract to the urea and creatinine levels of male albino rat. The method was an exsperimental pre and post test with control group design, thirty two male Rattus norvegicus strain Wistar, divided randomly into 4 groups, A (control), B (21 mg/kgBW/day), C (42 mg/kgBW/day) and D (84 mg/kgBW/day). Blood urea level was analyzed using Urease-GLDH method (λ 340 nm), and blood creatinine level using Jaffe method (λ 492 nm). There was a significant increase (p<0.05; 2 Related Sample Test) of urea levels before and after treatment in group B (20.72±8.63) mg/dL, C (22±14.45 mg/dL), D 36,86±9,87) mg/dL and creatinine in group C (0.71±0.36) mg/dL. There were differences between groups in elevated levels of urea (p <0.05; Anova) and changes levels of creatinine (p<0.05; Kruskal-Wallis). Post-hoc test showed significant differences between groups (p<0.05) at urea level (group B with A&D; C with D) and creatinine level (group A with B&D; B with C&D; C with D). There was an effect of chronic administration of purwoceng roots ethanol extract (pimpinella pruatjan molk.) to blood urea and creatinine levels of male Rattus norvegicus strain Wistar. |
