Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh tepung daun waru dalam ransum terhadap kadar Asam Lemak Asiri (VFA) dan Amonia (N-NH3) secara in-vitro. Materi penelitian adalah cairan rumen sapi potong, tepung daun waru, rumput gajah, dan pakan konsentrat. Metode penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Perlakuan diulang 4 kali. Pakan perlakuan berupa konsentrat, rumput gajah, dan level tepung daun waru yang berbeda, (yaitu P1= Konsentrat 48 %+Rumput Gajah 40 %+Bungkil Kedelai 12 %+Tepung Daun Waru 0 %, P2= Konsentrat 48 %+Rumput Gajah 40 %+Bungkil Kedelai 11,9 %+Tepung Daun Waru 0,1 %, P3= Konsentrat 48 %+Rumput Gajah 40 %+Bungkil Kedelai 11,8 % +Tepung Daun Waru 0,2 %, P4= Konsentrat 48 %+Rumput Gajah 40 %+Bungkil Kedelai 11,7 %+Tepung Daun Waru 0, 3 %, P5= Konsentrat 48 %+Rumput Gajah 40 %+Bungkil Kedelai 11,6 %+Tepung Daun Waru 0, 4 %). Peubah yang diukur adalah VFA dan N-NH3. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis variansi dan dilanjutkan uji Orthogonal Polynomial. Berdasarkan hasil analisis variansi, perlakuan berpengaruh nyata (P < 0,05) terhadap kadar VFA dan tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap kadar N-NH3 (P > 0,05). Semakin tinggi level kandungan tepung daun waru, semakin tinggi kadar VFA sampai diperoleh nilai optimum kandungan tepung daun waru sebesar 0,203 % dengan kadar VFA tertinggi 136,67 mM.
Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris)This study was aimed to determine the effect of Hibiscus tiliaceus leaf meal in the ration on the concentration of Volatile Fatty Acids (VFA) and Ammonia (N-NH3) by in-vitro. The materials used were rumen fluid of beef cattle, Hibiscus tiliaceus leaf meal, Napier grass, and concentrate. The research method used was completely randomized design (CRD). The treatments used were 4 times repetitions. The rations consisted of concentrate, Napier grass, and different level of Hibiscus tiliaceus leaf meal, (that were P1= Concentrate 48 %+Napier grass 40 %+Soybean meal 12 %+ Hibiscus tiliaceus leaf flour 0 %, P2= Concentrate 48 %+Napier grass 40 %+Soybean meal 11,9 %+ Hibiscus tiliaceus leaf flour 0,1 %, P3= Concentrate 48 %+Napier grass 40 %+Soybean meal 11,8 %+ Hibiscus tiliaceus leaf flour 0,2 %, P4= Concentrate 48 %+Napier grass 40 %+Soybean meal 11,7 %+ Hibiscus tiliaceus leaf flour 0,3 %, P5= Concentrate 48 %+Napier grass 40 %+Soybean meal 11,6 %+ Hibiscus tiliaceus leaf flour 0,4 %). The measured variable is VFA and N-NH3. The data were analyzed using variance analysis and continued by orthogonal polynomial test. Based on the results of variance analysis, the treatments had a significant effect (P < 0,05) on VFA concentration and no significant (P > 0,05) effect on amonia concentration. The higher the concentration of Hibiscus tiliaceus leaf meal, the higher level of VFA to obtain the optimum value of Hibiscus tiliaceus leaf meal concentration of 0,203 % with the highest VFA concentration of 136,67 mM.
