| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian yang berjudul “A Politolinguistic Analysis on Nara Rakhmatia Speech at General Debate of the 71st Session of the General Assembly of United Nation” ini memfokuskan pada analisa Politolinguistik terhadap pidato Nara. Penilitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan cara Nara membenarkan tindakan Indonesia terhadap Papua Barat bahwa hal tersebut tidak melanggar Hak Asasi Manusia. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mengidentifikasi tiga dimensi Politolinguistik dan strategi diskursif. Data utama diambil dari ucapan Nara, sedangkan untuk mendukung analisis, terdapat data pendukung yaitu transkrip dan rangkuman pidato tersebut. Dalam menganalisa data, penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Peneliti menganalisa tiga dimensi Politolinguistik berdasarkan teori Cedroni yaitu Politic, Polity and Policy, dan strategi diskursif berdasarkan teori Wodak yaitu nominasi, predikasi, argumentasi, perspektivasi, dan intensifikasi. Dari analisis data menunjukkan bahwa Nara menggunakan politic untuk memperkuat pidatonya, polity untuk menemukan prinsip-prinsip Persatuan Bangsa-Bangsa yang dilanggar oleh negara-negara Kepulauan Pasifik dan policy untuk mengetahui dua kemungkinan yang akan terjadi terhadap Papua Barat, yaitu merdeka atau berkembang di bawah komitmen Indonesia. Selanjutnya, peneliti menemukan 42 strategi diskursif, yaitu nominasi (9), predikasi (9), argumentasi (13), perspektivasi (7), dan intensifikasi (4). Dari hasil analisis, dapat disimpulkan bahwa strategi yang mendominasi dalam penelitian ini adalah argumentasi diikuti oleh nominasi dan predikasi. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa cara Nara menggunakan strategi diskursif untuk membenarkan ucapannya dengan memberi atribusi kedua pihak. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa mengkarakterisasi kedua pihak dengan sifat yang positif atau negatif merupakan strategi yang efektif untuk membenarkan tindakan Indonesia. |

Inggris) | This research entitled “A Politolinguistic Analysis on Nara Rakhmatia Speech at General Debate of the 71st Session of the General Assembly of United Nation” focuses on Politolinguistic on Nara’s speech. It is aimed at explaining the way Nara justify Indonesia’s action to West Papua that Indonesia does not violate Human Rights. The research is done by identifying the three dimensions of Politolinguistic and the discursive strategies. The primary data are taken from Nara’s utterance, while to support the analysis, the supporting data are the transcript and the summary of the speech. In analyzing the data, this research uses qualitative method. The researcher analyzes three dimensions of Politolinguistic based on Cedroni’s theory which are Politic, Polity and Policy; moreover, discursive strategies based on Wodak’s theory are analyzed which are nomination, predication, argumentation, perspectivation, and intensification. The result of the analysis shows that Nara used politics to empower her speech, polity to discover United Nation principal violated by the said Pacific Islands countries and Policy to know the two possible results for West, being independent or being developed by Indonesian commitment. Furthermore, the researcher finds 42 discursive strategies, they are nomination (9 occurrences), predication (9 occurrences), argumentation (13 occurrences), perspectivation (7 occurrences), and intensification (4 occurrences). From the analysis, it can be inferred that the most salient strategies used in the research is argumentation followed by nomination and predication. It indicates that the way Nara uses discursive strategy to justify her remark by giving the attribution to the two discord sides. Therefore, it can be considered that characterizing the actors by positive or negative traits is an effective strategy to justify the action of Indonesia. |
