Indonesia) | Permintaan konsumen terhadap sabun yang semakin meningkat, mendorong dilakukannya inovasi-inovasi baru baik dari jumlah, kualitas, kemanfaatan maupun bahan baku dalam pembuatan sabun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui formulasi sabun cair terbaik yang sesuai SNI 06-4085-1996 dan aktivitas antibakterinya setelah ditambahkan zat antibakteri dari fraksi n-heksana rimpang temu giring (C. heyneana) dan pewangi dari minyak atsiri bunga lavender (L. angustifolia) pada beberapa variasi konsentrasi. Selanjutnya dilakukan uji hedonik untuk mengevaluasi tingkat kesukaan panelis terhadap sabun formulasi terbaik. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan yaitu pembuatan sabun dengan metode saponifikasi, karakterisasi sabun sesuai SNI 06-4085-1996, penentuan formulasi sabun terbaik dan uji aktivitas antibakteri sabun cair terhadap S.aureus serta uji hedonik sabun formulasi terbaik dengan parameter warna, aroma, busa dan daya bersih. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sabun yang memiliki karakteristik terbaik sesuai SNI 06-4085-1996 adalah sabun dengan kadar antibakteri 0,2% dan pewangi 2,5%. Hasil uji aktivitas antibakteri dari sabun formula terbaik menunjukkan diameter hambat sebesar 14,92 mm. Tingkat kesukaan panelis terhadap sabun formula terbaik menunjukkan pesentase sebesar 76%. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The increasing demand of soap encourages new innovations of it’s quantity, quality, benefits and raw materials. This research aims to determine best formulation of liquid soap according to SNI 06-4085-1996 and its antibacterial activity after addition of n-hexane fraction of C. heyneana rhizome and fragrance from lavender (L. angustifolia) flower oil at various concentrations, then a hedonic test was conducted to evaluate the panelist's preference towards the soap with the best formulation. This research has been done through several stages of soap making with saponification method, soap characterization according to SNI 06-4085-1996, determination of best formulation of liquid soap based and antibacterial activity test of liquid soap to S.aureus and hedonic test using some parameters such as colour, odor, foam dan clean power. The results showed that the best characteristic soap according to SNI 06-4085-1996 was soap with 0.2% antibacterial content and 2.5% perfume. The results of the antibacterial activity test of the best formula soap showed the inhibitory zone of 14.92 mm. The panelist favorite level of the best formula soap showed a percentage of 76% |
