Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Abstract
Chlorella vulgaris merupakan salah satu mikroalga yang memiliki kandungan antioksidan tinggi yaitu β–karoten yang dapat menghambat bahaya radikal bebas dengan cara menangkap singlet oxygen. Radikal bebas dapat berasal dari senyawa toksik, salah satu senyawa toksik sumber radikal bebas yaitu CCl4, yang dibentuk dengan bantuan sinar ultraviolet dari reaksi CH4 dan Cl2. Tubuh yang terpapar oleh CCl4 maka akan mengalami kerusakan organ salah satunya ginjal, sehingga menyebabkan fungsi sel ginjal menjadi terganggu dalam mengekskresikan zat-zat sisa metabolisme bersama dengan urin salah satunya yaitu asam urat. Penelitian ini bertujuan, untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ekstrak C.vulgaris terhadap kadar asam urat tikus putih (R. novergicus) yang diinduksi CCl4, dan mengetahui dosis terbaik ekstrak C.vulgaris yang mampu menurunkan kadar asam urat tikus putih (R. novergicus) yang diinduksi CCl4. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimental dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Perlakuan yang dicoba terdiri dari 6 perlakuan dan 4 kali ulangan. Variabel tergantung yang diamati yaitu perubahan kadar asam urat darah tikus, sedangkan parameter yang diukur yaitu kadar asam urat tikus (mg/dl). Hasil pengukuran kadar asam urat tikus hari ke-31 pada masing-masing kelompok perlakuan diperoleh hasil kadar rerata sebagai berikut, K+ (kontrol positif) berkisar 2.304 ± 0.556 mg/dl; perlakuan K- (kontrol negatif) berkisar 3.793±0.154 mg/dl; perlakuan Ks (kontrol standar) berkisar 1.054 ± 0.269 mg/dl; perlakuan P1 berkisar 2.663 ± 0.244 mg/dl; perlakuan P2 berkisar 2.662 ± 0.165mg/dl; perlakuan P3 berkisar 1.275 ± 0.293 mg/dl. Hasil ANOVA menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ekstrak C. vulgaris berpengaruh terhadap kadar asam urat tikus putih (R. norvegicus) yang diinduksi karbon tetraklorida (CCl4) (p<0.05). Hasil uji lanjut menunjukan bahwa perlakuan P1, P2 dan P3 dapat menurunkan kadar asam urat tikus putih (R. norvegicus) yang diinduksi karbon tetraklorida (CCl4) (p<0.05). Dosis terbaik ekstrak C. vulgaris yang mampu menurunkan kadar asam urat tikus putih (R. norvegicus) yang diinduksi karbon tetraklorida (CCl4) yaitu 5 mg/ 100 g BB tikus/ hari.

Chlorella vulgaris is one of the micro-algae that has a high antioxidant content, which is b-carotene which can inhibit the dangers of free radicals by capturing singlet oxygen. Free radicals can come from toxic compounds, one compound toxic source of free radicals, namely CCL4 formed with the help of ultraviolet rays from the reaction of CH4 and Cl2. Body that is exposed by CCL4 then it will experience damage to organs one kidney, causing the function of the kidney cells being interrupted in the excrete the wastes of metabolism along with urine one of them is urine. This study aims to determine the effect of extract C. vulgaris against uric acid levels of white rats induced by CCl4, and know the best doses of the extract C. vulgaris which is able to lower the uric acid levels of white rats induced CCl4. The research method used was experimental method with completely randomized design, treatment that is tried consists of 6 treatments and 4 replications. The independent variable used was the dose of C. vulgaris extract given to white rats (R. norvegicus), while the dependent variable was the change of uric acid level of the rat. The doses used were 3, 4 and 5 mg/ 100 g BB rat/ day. The variable depending on the observed that changes in the levels of uric acid the blood of rats, while the parameters measured were the levels of uric acid of rats (mg/dl). The results of the measurement of uric acid levels rats day 31 in each treatment group obtained the results of the levels of the mean as follows K+ (positive control) ranged from 2.304 ± 0.556 mg/dl; treatment K- (negative control) ranged from 3.793±0.154 mg/dl; the treatment of Ks (standard control) ranged from 1.054 ± 0.269 mg/dl; treatment P1 ranged from 2.663 ± 0.244 mg/dl; treatment P2 ranged from 2.662 ± 0.165mg/dl; P3 treatment ranged from 1.275 ± 0.293 mg/dl. The results of ANOVA showed that administration of extracts of C. Vulgaris affect the uric acid levels of white rats induced by carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) (p<0.05), the test results further showed that the treatment of P1, P2, P3 can lower the uric acid levels of white rats (R. norvegicus) induced by carbon tetrachloride (CCL4) (p<0.05). The best dose extract of C. vulgaris which is able to lower the uric acid levels of white rats induced by carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) is 5 mg/100 g BB rat/day.
