| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini berjudul “Pengaruh Penggunaan Situs Jejaring Sosial ASK.FM terhadap Keterbukaan Diri Siswa SMP Negeri 2 Purwokerto”. Menggunakan teori Uses & Gratifications penelitian ini berusaha untuk mencari pengaruh antara penggunaan situs jejaring sosial ASK.FM terhadap keterbukaan diri siswa SMP Negeri 2 Purwokerto. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan studi korelasional dan regresi. Teknik simple random sampling dipilih untuk memnentukan jumlah responden yang akan menjadi sampel penelitian dengan berdasarkan pada rumus Taro Yamane, maka diperoleh jumlah sampel74 responden. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis korelasi Pearson Product Moment, dilanjutkan dengan teknik regresi linier sederhana untuk memprediksi arah hubungan, sedangkan uji t digunakan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana hipotesis penelitian (Ha) dapat diterima. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan koefisien korelasi antara penggunaan situs jejaring sosial ASK.FM terhadap keterbukaan diri siswa SMP Negeri 2 Purwokerto sebesar 0,893 yang berarti mempunyai pengaruh yang sangat kuat. Hasil perhitungan regresi menjelaskan variabel keterbukaan diri siswa SMP Negeri 2 Purwokerto mampu dipenuhi dengan penggunaan situs jejaring sosial ASK.FM sebesar 79,7% dengan arah hubungan yang positif. Dari hasil uji t dengan tingkat signifikansi 0,05 diperoleh nilai t sebesar 16,83 yang lebih besar dari nilai t tabel yaitu 1,992. Dengan demikian Ho yang menyatakan tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara penggunaan situs jejaring sosial Ask.Fm terhadap keterbukaan diri siswa SMP Negeri 2 Purwokerto ditolak, sedangkan Ha yang menyatakan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara penggunaan situs jejaring sosial Ask.Fm terhadap keterbukaan diri siswa SMP Negeri2 Purwokerto diterima. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This research entitled "The Effect of Using Social Networking Sites ASK.FM to Self-Disclosure SMP Negeri 2 Purwokerto Students ". Using Uses & Gratifications theory this research is trying to find the effect between the use of social networking website ASK.FM to the self disclosure of SMP Negeri 2 Purwokerto students. The research method used is quantitative research method with correlational and regression study. The simple ramdom sampling technique was chosen to determine the number of respondents who will be the research sample based on the Taro Yamane’s formula, then the sample number of 74 respondents was obtained. Data analysis technique in this research using Pearson Product Moment correlation analysis, followed by simple linear regression technique to predict the direction of relationship, while t test is used to know the extent to which the research hypothesis (Ha) is acceptable. The results concluded that the correlation coefficient between the use of social networking site ASK.FM to the self disclosure of SMP Negeri 2 Purwokerto students is 0.893 which means have a very strong effect. Regression calculation results explain the self-disclosure variables of students SMP Negeri 2 Purwokerto able to be filled with the use of social networking site ASK.FM of 79.7% with a positive relationship direction. From the result of t test with significance level 0,05 obtained t value that is 16,83 bigger than t value table that is 1,992. Thus Ho which states there is no significant effect between the use of social networking sites Ask.Fm to self disclosure of SMP Negeri 2 Purwokerto students is rejected, while Ha which states there is a significant influence between the use of social networking sites Ask.Fm to the self disclosure of SMP Negeri2 Purwokerto students is accepted. |
