| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsentrasi KMnO4 yang paling efektif terhadap kualitas buah tomat, mengetahui jenis pengemas yang paling efektif terhadap kualitas buah tomat dan mengetahui pengaruh KMnO4 dan jenis pengemasan terhadap kualitas buah tomat. Penelitian dilaksanakan mulai Desember 2016 sampaiJanuari 2017. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap (RAKL) faktorial, dengan tiga kali ulangan yang terdiri dari dua factor. Faktor pertama adalah konsentrasi larutan KMnO4 yaitu : Kontrol, 5%, 10%, 15%.Faktor kedua adalah jenis pengemas yaitu :Plastik Polyetilen, Plastik Polipropilen, Kertas Kraft. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi KMnO4 tidak dapat mempertahankan kualitas dan masa simpan buah tomat. Jenis pengemas dapat mempertahankan kualitas dan memperlama masa simpan buah tomat. |

Inggris) | This study aims to determine the most effective KMnO4 concentration on the quality of the tomatoes, knowing the most effective type of packaging against the tomato fruit quality and determine the effect of KMnO4 and type of packaging on the quality of tomatoes. The study was conducted from December 2016 to January 2017. This study used a Completely randomized block design, with three replications consisting of two factors. The first factor was the concentration of KMnO4 solution is Control, 5%, 10%, 15%. The second factor was the type of packaging that is Plastic Polyetilen, Polypropylene Plastics, Kraft paper. The results indicated that the concentration ofKMnO4 can not maintain the quality and prolong the shelf life of tomatoes. Types of packaging can maintain quality and prolong the shelf life of tomatoes. |
