| Judul Artikel | Permisivisme Masyarakat terhadap Perilaku Merokok pada Pelajar di Kecamatan Purwokerto Timur |
| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Kegiatan merokok pada saat ini menjadi salah satu kebiasaan yang lazim dan sering ditemui dalam kehidupan sehari – hari. Meskipun kegiatan merokok telah diketahui membawa dampak buruk, ironisnya kebiasaan tersebut tidak hanya dilakukan oleh orang – orang dewasa saja. Faktanya, seringkali ditemui pada remaja yang masih berstatus pelajar telah mengonsumsi rokok. Dalam hal ini tentunya perilaku tersebut tergolong sebagai sebuah penyimpangan sosial dan harus ada sebuah upaya penanggulangan serta pengendalian sosial dari masyarakat agar fenomena tersebut tidak terjadi secara terus – menerus. Namun, saat ini nampaknya masyarakat lebih menunjukkan sikap acuh dan permisif terhadap hal tersebut. Penelitian ini dilakukan di wilayah Purwokerto Timur dan bertujuan untuk mengungkap pendapat masyarakat tentang fenomena merokok yang dilakukan oleh para pelajar serta alasan yang melatarbelakangi mereka bersikap permisif atau “membolehkan” terhadap fenomena tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif . Sasaran utama dalam penelitian ini yaitu masyarakat di wilayah Purwokerto Timur yang tinggal di dekat bangunan sekolah serta kerap melihat fenomena kegiatan merokok yang dilakukan oleh para pelajar. Sasaran pendukungnya adalah pelajar yang mempunyai kebiasaan merokok dan tokoh masyarakat di lokasi penelitian. Teknik menentukan informan menggunakan purposive sampling, metode pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara mendalam, observasi dan dokumentasi. Sumber data terdiri atas data primer dan data sekunder. Analisis data dilakukan dengan model analisis interaktif, yang komponennya terdiri atas pengolahan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat menganggap kegiatan merokok yang dilakukan adalah sebuah perilaku yang buruk dan dikategorikan sebagai sebuah penyimpangan sosial. Selain itu, masyarakat di lokasi penelitian juga menilai rokok memiliki berbagai kandungan zat yang berbahaya bagi tubuh sehingga akan berdampak pada kesehatan para penghisapnya. Kebiasaan merokok yang dilakukan oleh para pelajar juga dinilai rawan akan menimbulkan berbagai penyimpangan lain yang lebih besar. Mesikpun rokok dianggap sebagai sebuah penyimpangan, namun sikap masyarakat yang lebih ditonjolkan yaitu sikap pembiaran atau permisif. Alasan yang melatarbelakangi mereka bersikap permisif terhadap fenomena tersebut sangat beragam diantaranya yaitu, menganggap fenomena tersebut sebagai sebuah budaya, faktor ekonomi, serta kepribadian yang berkaitan dengan emosi dan perasaan. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah masyarakat sebagai salah satu agen sosial diharapkan bisa lebih peka terhadap lingkungan sekitar dan lebih menerapkan kontrol sosial agar berbagai bentuk penyimpangan yang terjadi di lingkungannya bisa diminimalisir, pihak sekolah sebagai lembaga pendidikan juga harus bisa lebih mengontrol siswa - siswinya agar generasi muda saat ini bisa terhindar dari bahaya merokok, serta pelajar sebagai generasi penerus diharapkan bisa menghindari rokok sedini mungkin. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The Smoking activities currently being one who customarily habits and often encountered in the life of a day. Although smoking has been known to have adverse effects, ironically these habits are not only done by adults only. In fact, it is often found in adolescents who are still as a student have been consuming cigarettes. In this case of course that behavior is classified as a social aberration and there must be an effort to control and social control of the community so that the phenomenon does not occur continuously. However, nowadays it seems that people are more indifferent and permissive about it. This research was conducted in Purwokerto Timur and aims to uncover the opinion of the comunity on the phenomenon of smoking that conducted by the students and the reason behind them being permissive or "allow" to the phenomenon. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive. The main target of this research is the community in Purwokerto Timur who live near the school building and often see the phenomenon of smoking activity that conducted by the students. The supporting targets are students who have smoking habits and community leaders in the study sites. The determine’s technique to get informant of this research is “purposive sampling” and data collection using interview, observation, and documentation. The data source consists of primary data and secondary data. Data analysis technique which used interactive model, the component consist of data processing, data redaction, data presentation and conclusion. The result of the research shows that people assume the smoking activity is a bad behavior and considered as a social deviation. In addition, the community in the research locations also thought that the cigarette have various ingredients that is harmful to the body so that will have an impact on the health of the exploiters. Smoking habit conducted by the students was also considered prone to would have a other irregularities greater. Although cigarettes are considered as a deviation, but the attitude of the community are the attitude of omission or permissiveness. The reasons behind them being permissive about the phenomenon are very diverse, among others, to consider the phenomenon tersbut as a culture, economic factors, and personalities associated with emotions and feelings. The implications of the research is the community as one of the agents social is expected to be more sensitive to their surroundings and more apply social control to manage the form of forms of deception which occur in the area can minimize, the school as an institution education must also be able to more control their stundents that generation young when this could avoid the danger of smoking , and students as the next generation is expected to avoid smoking as early as possible . |
