Judul ArtikelKADAR GLUTATION DARAH TIKUS PUTIH (Rattus norvegicus) YANG DIBERI EKSTRAK Chlorella vulgaris DAN DIINDUKSI DENGAN KARBON TETRAKLORIDA (CCl4)
Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) is one of the hepatotoxic chemical compounds that can produce tricloromethyl free radical radical (CCl3-). The free radical will cause oxidative stress that can induces organs damage. One of oxidative stress indicator is glutathione (endogenous antioxidant). The endogen ous antioxidants is not strong enough in counteracting the bad effects of free radicals, so it needs the intake of exogenous antioxidants. Chlorella vulgaris is one of the microalga that has antioxidant activity. This research conduct to find out effect of Chlorella vulgaris extract on Glutathione blood level of white rat (Rattus norvegicus) before and after induced with CCl4 and to get effective dose of Chlorella vulgaris extract that can able to neutralize CCl4. This research was conducted experimentally with Completely Randomized Design (RAL) consisting of 6 treatments and 4 replications. The dosage used i.e. 3 mg, 4 mg and 5 mg, given orally for 30 days. The parameter observe was glutathione levels. The data were analyzed using ANOVA with advanced BNJ Test (TukeyHSD). The result of the analysis showed that treatment of C. vulgaris extract on the white rat (R. norvegicus) that being exposed CCl4 significanly influence on glutathione blood level (p<0,05). Meanwhile, the giving of extract C. vulgaris on P3’s treatment with a dose of 4 mg/100 g BB is the effective dose. It can be seen on the result of Tukey’s HSD analysis that the P2 and P3 theatment significant toward negative control (p<0,05).
