| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kesesuaian lahan dan sebaran tingkat kesesuaian lahan untuk tanaman cabai merah di Kecamatan Leuwisari Kabupaten Tasikmalaya. Penelitian dilaksanakan dari bulan Juni sampai Oktober 2014. Metode pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara proporsional sampling dalam skala peta tingkat semi detail yaitu 1:50.000. Setiap 100 ha lahan diwakili oleh 1-2 sampel pengamatan. Luas wilayah yang dikaji 1.656 ha dan menghasilkan 22 titik sampel. Pengambilan sampel tanah dilakukan dengan menggunakan bor tanah secara komposit pada kedalaman 0-60 cm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat kesesuaian lahan untuk tanaman cabai merah menurut metode matching Sesuai Marginal (S3) seluas 905 ha atau 54,7%, Tidak Sesuai Saat Ini (N1) seluas 415 ha atau 25,1% dan Tidak Sesuai Permanen (N2) seluas 336 ha atau 20,2%; sedangkan menurut metode indeks parametrik menghasilkan tingkat kesesuaian lahan Cukup Sesuai (S2) seluas 1.292 ha atau 78,1%, Sesuai Marginal (S3) seluas 138 ha atau 8,3%, Tidak Sesuai Saat Ini (N1) seluas 222 ha atau 13,4% dan Tidak Sesuai Permanen (N2) seluas 4 ha atau 0,2%. Faktor pembatas utama berupa kandungan unsur hara N-total tanah dan kemiringan lereng. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This study aims to determine the level of suitability and distribution of land suitability level for a red chili crop in Leuwisari District of Tasikmalaya Regency. The research was conducted from June to October 2014. The sampling method proportional sampling conducted in semi-detailed level map scale of 1:50,000. Every 100 ha of land is represented by 1-2 sample observations. The total area of 1,656 ha studied and produce 22 sample points. Soil sampling done by using composite drill the soil at a depth of 0-60 cm. The results showed the level of suitability for a red chili crop according to the matching method is Marginally Suitable (S3) covering an area of 905 ha, or 54.7%, Currently Not Suitable (N1) covering an area of 415 ha or 25.1% and Permanently Not Suitable (N2) area 336 ha or 20.2%; while according to the method of parametric indices produce land suitability level Moderately Suitable (S2) covering an area of 1,292 ha or 78.1%, marginally suitable (S3) covering an area of 138 ha or 8.3% to the value of the index, Currently Not Suitable (N1) covering an area of 222 ha or 13.4% and Permanently Not Suitable (N2) 4 ha or 0.2% to the value of the index. The main limiting factors were N total content of soil and slope. |
