| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh berbagai taraf suplementasi urea lepas lambat pada jerami padi terhadap produk VFA total dan kadar N-NH3 secara in vitro, serta mengetahui taraf optimal suplementasi urea lepas lambat berdasarkan produk VFA total dan kadar N-NH3. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah cairan rumen yang berasal dari sapi sebanyak 3 ekor yang diambil di Rumah Pemotongan Hewan (RPH) Tambaksari segera setelah sapi dipotong dan digunakan sebagai sumber inokulum. Perlakuan yang diuji yaitu suplementasi urea lepas lambat (onggok-urea) dengan taraf 0% (P0), 6,25% (P1), 12,50% (P2), 18,75% (P3) dan 25% (P4) pada ransum yang tersusun dari jerami padi 70% dan konsentrat 30%. Konsentrat tersusun dari pollard, tepung jagung, onggok dan mineral mix, masing-masing 15, 10, 4, dan 1% BK. Metode penelitian yang digunakan eksperimental secara in vitro. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan yaitu rancangan acak lengkap one way classification. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan berpengaruh secara linier terhadap konsentrasi VFA total dengan persamaan Y = 147,4 + 1,112 X dan berpengaruh secara kuartik terhadap kadar N-NH3 dengan persamaan Y = 95,27 + 2,02 X – 0,61 X2 + 0,04 X3 – 0,0009 X4 Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa suplementasi urea lepas lambat pada pakan basa jerami padi dapat diberikan sebanyak 25% BK. |

Inggris) | This experiment aimed to determine the effect different level of slow-release urea supplementation in rice straw on total VFA product and N-NH3 by in vitro method and to determine the optimum level of supplementation with slow-release urea based on the products of total VFA and N-NH3 levels. The materials used in this experiment were rumen fluids of 3 cattle from slaughter house, Tambaksari, immediately after being slaughtered. The treatments consisted of the slow-release urea supplementation (cassava waste-urea) with a level of 0% (P0), 6.25% (P1), 12.50% (P2), 18.75% (P3) and 25% (P4) on rations composed of rice straw and concentrate of 70% to 30%. The concentrate composed of pollard, maize, cassava waste and mineral mix 15, 10, 4, and 1% DM respectively. The experiment used in vitro method and was designed with completely randomized design one way classification. The data was analyzed with the analysis of variance and followed by orthogonal polynomial test. The results showed that the treatments linearly affected the concentration of total VFA, as expected by an equation, Y = 147.4 + 1.112 X and quadratically affect the concentration of N-NH3 forming equations, Y = 95.27 + 2.02 X – 0.61 X2 + 0.04 X3 – 0.0009 X4. Based on the result, it is concluded that the slow - release urea supplementation on rice straw basal feed can be given as much as 25% of DM. |
