| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Usia menarche dapat menggambarkan kesehatan reproduksi. Kesehatan reproduksi sangatlah penting dan berpengaruh terhadap perkembangan fisik dan kehidupan seksual. Usia menarche dari tahun ke tahun terjadi semakin cepat. Hal ini dapat dipengaruhi beberapa faktor salah satunya adalah IMT. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui korelasi IMT dengan usia menarche pada siswi SMP di Purwokerto. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian observasional analitik cross-sectional pada 63 siswi yang dipilih menggunakan metode consecutive sampling dengan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Kriteria inklusi adalah siswi SMP berusia 12-15 tahun dan mengalami menarche pada bulan Agustus 2016 hingga penelitian berlangsung. Kriteria eksklusi adalah responden memiliki berat badan >150 kg dan menolak untuk berpartisipasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kekuatan korelasi antara IMT dengan usia menarche sangat lemah dan tidak signifikan secara statistik (r=0,127; p=0,323) sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat korelasi antara IMT dengan usia menarche pada siswi SMP di Purwokerto. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Age at menarche can describe reproductive health. Reproductive health is important and influential on development of physical and sexual life. Age at menarche from year to year occur sooner. It can be influenced by several factors, one of which is BMI. This study aimed to determine correlation between BMI and age at menarche among junior high school student in Purwokerto. The study used observational analytic with cross-sectional design in 63 students selected using consecutive sampling method with the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The inclusion criteria were junior high school students aged 12-15 years and experienced menarche in August 2016 until the study. Exclusion criteria were respondents have a weight >150 kg and refused to partisipate. The results showed that the strength of correlation between BMI and age at menarche was very weak and not statistically significant (r = 0,127; p = 0,323) so it can be concluded that there is no correlation between BMI and the age at menarche in junior high school student in Purwokerto. |
