| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Latar belakang : Salah satu komplikasi yang terjadi pada penderita diabetes mellitus tipe 2 adalah Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) yang terjadi akibat proses aterosklerosis. Keparahan PAD dapat dinilai dengan nilai Ankle Brachial Index (ABI), Berlanjutnya PAD ke pembuluh darah di otak dapat menimbulkan gangguan fungsi kognitif. Penelitian tentang kedua variabel beberapa kali telah dilakukan, tetapi hasilnya masih berbeda beda dan kontroversial. Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk mengkonfirmasi hubungan antara Ankle-Brachial Index dengan fungsi kognitif pada pasien diabetes mellitus tipe 2 di RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo. Tujuan : Untuk mengetahui hubungan antara Ankle-Brachial Index dengan fungsi kognitif pada pasien diabetes mellitus tipe 2 di RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo. Metode : Penelitian ini merupakan studi observasional analitik. 47 sampel yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi pada Poliklinik Ilmu Penyakit Dalam RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo diambil dengan metode consecutive sampling. Pasien diukur tekanan sistolik pada ankle dan brachial. Analisis data menggunakan uji spearman untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya hubungan antara Ankle-Brachial Index dengan fungsi kognitif pada pasien diabetes mellitus tipe 2 Hasil : Hasil uji korelasi Spearman menunjukkan adanya korelasi yang positif antara Ankle-Brachial Index dengan fungsi kognitif dengan p=0,000, r=0,685 Kesimpulan : Terdapat hubungan antara Ankle-Brachial Index dengan fungsi kognitif pada pasien diabetes mellitus tipe 2 di RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Background : One of the complications that occur in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus is Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) due to the process of atherosclerosis. Severity of PAD can be assessed by the Ankle brachial index (ABI). The continuation of PAD to the blood vessels in the brain would lead to impaired cognitive function. The research on these two variables had been conducted for several times, but the results still vary and controversial. This study intends to confirm the relationship between the Ankle-Brachial Index and cognitive function in patient with type 2 diabetes mellitus in Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Hospital. Purpose : To determine the relationship between the Ankle-Brachial Index and cognitive function in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Hospital. Methods : This research is an analytic observational study with cross sectional approach. 47 subjects that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria in Internal Medicine Clinic of Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Hospital taken with consecutive sampling method. Subjects measured systolic pressure in the ankle and brachial. Data analyze using spearman test to determine a relationship between Ankle-Brachial Index and cognitive function in patient with type 2 diabetes mellitus Results : result of Spearman correlation test showe a positive correlation between Ankle-Brachial Index and cognitive function with p = 0,000 and r = 0,685 Conclusion : There is an association between Ankle-Brachial Index and cognitive function in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Hospital |
