| Judul Artikel | PENGARUH UMUR DAN BANGSA TERHADAP MOTILITAS, KONSENTRASI DAN pH SEMEN SEGAR SAPI BRAHMAN DAN ONGOLE |
| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengkaji umur dan bangsa yang paling tepat dengan spermatozoa terbaik terhadap motilitas, konsentrasi dan derajat keasaman (pH) semen segar sapi Brahman dan Ongole. Penelitian menggunakan metode survey dengan stratified random sampling, sehingga sampel yang digunakan untuk masing-masing bangsa yaitu 3 ekor Brahman dan Ongole. Data sample tahun 2005 – 2014 diambil di Balai Besar Inseminasi Buatan Malang. Variable yang diamati yaitu motilitas, konsentrasi dan derajat keasamaan (pH). Pengaruh umur di kategorikan menjadi 4 kategori yaitu umur 3 tahun, 4 tahun, 5 tahun dan 6 tahun. Data di analisis menggunakan Analisis Korelasi dan Analisis of Regression. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa umur dan bangsa berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap motilitas, konsentrasi, dan derajat keasaam (pH). Puncak motilitas tertinggi semen segar untuk sapi Ongole ialah pada umur 6 tahun yaitu 66.25% dan sapi Brahman ialah pada umur 3 tahun yaitu 66.89%. Puncak produksi untuk konsentrasi semen segar 2 bangsa diperoleh sapi Ongole umur 6 tahun yaitu 1584.61 juta/ml dan sapi Brahman umur 5 tahun yaitu 1411.8 juta/ml. Puncak produksi untuk derajat keasaman (pH) bangsa sapi Ongole yaitu 6.4 dan sapi Brahman yaitu 6.5. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The purpose of this research is to examine the influence of the best age and breed to produce the best spermatozoa quality in term of motility, concentration, and acidity (pH) of fresh semen Brahman and Ongole cattle. This research used a survey method with stratified random samping, with the sample of each breed were 3 heads of Brahman and Ongole. Data samples were collected during 2005 – 2014 which had been recorded in the Balai Besar Inseminasi Buatan Singosari Malang. The observed variables were motility, concentration and acidity (pH). The influence of the age were categorized into 4 group namely 3 years, 4 years, 5 years, and 6 years. Data were analyzed using Correlation and Regression Analysis. The results showed that the age and breed give significant effect (P<0,05) on the motility, concentration and acidity (pH). The highest production of fresh semen motility for Ongole cattle were 66.25% which collected from 6 years old bull, followed by 3 years old bull which has 66.89% motility. The highest production of fresh semen concentration obtained from 2 breed; Ongole cattle aged 6 years has 1584.61 million/ml and 5 years old Brahman cattle is 1411.8 million/ml. The highest production of acidity (pH) of Ongole cattle is 6.4 and Brahman cattle is 6.5. |
