| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Hiperkolesterolemia adalah kondisi peningkatan kadar kolesterol total, Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL), dan trigliserida. Keadaan hiperkolesterolemia ini merupakan salah satu faktor resiko dari penyakit kardiovaskular. Daun kersen memiliki senyawa aktif antioksidan berupa saponin, polifenol, dan tanin yang bermanfaat sebagai penurun kolesterol dan trigliserida darah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ekstrak etanol daun kersen (Muntingia calabura L.) terhadap kadar kolesterol total dan trigliserida tikus putih (Rattus novergicus) model hiperkolesterolemia. Penelitian laboratorium pre and post test with control group design untuk kadar kolesterol total dan post test only with control group design untuk kadar kolesterol total dan trigliserida dibagi secara acak menjadi lima kelompok. K1 (kontrol sehat); K2 (kontrol negatif); K3 (daun kersen 42 mg/200gramBB/hari); K4 (daun kersen 84 mg/200gramBB/hari); dan K5 (daun kersen 168 mg/200gramBB/hari). Induksi minyak babi 2 ml/200grBB, kuning telur bebek 2 ml/200grBB menggunakan sonde sehari sekali selama 14 hari pada K2, K3, K4 dan K5. Induksi tikus 2B, 2C dan 2F ditambah 3 hari dan pakan buatan otak sapi 10 gram/100gramBB/tikus secara ad libitum sehari sekali. Selanjutnya diberikan ekstrak etanol daun kersen pada K3, K4, dan K5 selama 14 hari. Rerata kadar kolesterol total pre-posttest K1 (70,3 - 84), K2 (123,6 - 101), K3 (101 – 98,8), K4 (99,8 – 145,6), K5 (100,3 – 85,6). Rerata kadar trigliserida posttest K1 (78 ± 100), K2 (79,6 ± 25,5), K3 (91,4 ± ±36,2), K4 (180 ±203), K5 (79,8 ± 9,1). Hasil uji Wilcoxon kadar kolesterol total inter kelompok menunjukkan hasil tidak signifikan K1 (p=0,08), K2 (p=0,225), K3 (p=0,893), K4 (p=0,42), K5 (0,345). Hasil uji Kruskall-Wallis kadar kolesterol total dan trigliserida antar kelompok menunjukkan hasil tidak signifikan (p=0,209) dan (p=0,486). Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini yaitu ekstrak etanol daun kersen tidak berpengaruh terhadap kadar kolesterol total dan trigliserida. | Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Hypercholesterolemia is a condition of total cholesterol, Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL), and triglycerides levels elevated. This hypercholesterolemia circumstances is one of risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Kersen leaves has antioxidant active compounds such as saponins, polyphenols and tannins that are beneficial as lowering cholesterol and triglyseirdes. This research is aimed to determine the effect of ethanol extract of kersen leaves on total cholesterol and triglycerides level in male rats with hypercholesterolemia model. Laboratory research pre and posttest with control group design for cholesterol total and posttest only with control group design for cholesterol total and triglycerides level were randomly divided into five groups. K1 (healthy controls); K2 (negative control groups); K3 (kersen leaves 42 mg/200gramBB/day); K4 (kersen leaves 84 mg/200gramBB/day); K5 (kersen leaves 168 mg/200gramBB/day). Induction 2 ml/200grBB of lard, 2 ml/200grBB of duck egg yolk using sonde once daily for 14 days on K2, K3, K4 and K5. Induction for rats 2B, 2C and 2F added 3 days and artificial diet 10 grams/100gramBB/mice of cow’s brain once a day ad libitum. Then, the rats K3, K4 and K5 were given ethanol extract kersen leaves for 14 days. Average score for total cholesterol pre-posttest level K1 (70,3-84), K2 (123,6 - 101), K3 (101 – 98,8), K4 (99,8 – 145,6), K5 (100,3 – 85,6). Average score for triglycerides posttest level K1 (78 ± 100), K2 (79,6 ± 25,5), K3 (91,4 ± ±36,2), K4 (180 ±203), K5 (79,8 ± 9,1). Wilcoxon test result showed that there was no significant total cholesterol level inter group K1 (p=0,08), K2 (p=0,225), K3 (p=0,893), K4 (p=0,42), K5 (0,345). Kruskall-Wallis test showed that there was no significant total cholesterol and triglycerides level difference between the groups (p=0,209) and (p=0,486). This research concluded that ethanol extract kersen leaves had no effect on total cholesterol and triglycerides.
