Indonesia) | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengkaji respon pertumbuhan akar dan tunas tanaman kentang varietas Granola dan Atlantik terhadap pemberian zat pengatur tumbuh IAA, 2) mendapatkan konsentrasi zat pengatur tumbuh IAA yang optimum untuk pertumbuhan akar dan tunas kentang, 3) menentukan varietas kentang yang pertumbuhan tunas dan akarnya lebih baik. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Pemuliaan Tanaman Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jenderal Soedirman pada bulan Juli sampai dengan Nopember 2016. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 2 faktor yang terdiri atas pemberian IAA (0 ppm, 0,10 ppm, 0,20 ppm, 0,30 ppm) dan varietas kentang (Granola dan Atlantik), sehingga terdapat 8 kombinasi perlakuan yang masing-masing diulang 3 kali. Data dianalisis dengan uji F, dan apabila terdapat pengaruh dilanjutkan dengan uji BNT (Beda Nyata Terkecil). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi IAA berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap variabel saat muncul akar dan berpengaruh nyata terhadap variabel jumlah akar, namun tidak berpengaruh terhadap variabel saat muncul tunas, jumlah tunas, jumlah daun dan panjang planlet. Varietas kentang memberikan pengaruh sangat nyata terhadap variabel saat muncul tunas, saat muncul akar, jumlah tunas per planlet, dan jumlah daun per planlet, namun tidak berpengaruh pada variabel jumlah akar per planlet dan panjang planlet. |

Inggris) | The objectives of this research were: 1) to assess the growth response of plant roots and shoots of potato variety Granola & Atlantic to the administration of a growth regulator IAA, 2) to find the optimum concentration of IAA for the roots and shoot growth of potato, 3) to determine a better potato variety in term of its root and shoot growth. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Plant Breeding, faculty of Agriculture Jenderal Soedirman University from July to November 2016. A completely randomized design (CRD) with two factors was used, which consisted of IAA application (0 ppm, 0.10 ppm, 0.20 ppm, 0.30 ppm) and variety of potato (Granola and Atlantic). Each of those eight treatment combinations was repeated 3 times. The data were analyzed by F test, and followed by LSD (Least Significant Difference) test if any significant difference was found. The results showed that IAA gave a very significant effect on the root emergence and a significant effect on the number of roots, but it did not affect shoots emergence, the number of shoot, the number of leaves, and the length of planlets. Difference varieties showed a very significant effect on the shoot emergence, the root emergence, the number of shoots, and the number of leaves, but it did not affect the number of roots and the length of planlets. |
