| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Chlorella merupakan salah satu alga hijau mengandung karotenoid yang dapat berfungsi sebagai antioksidan alami namun masih jarang diketahui oleh masyarakat umum. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui apakah pemberian chlorella dapat mencegah peningkatan kadar aspartate transaminase (AST) pada tikus Rattus norvegicus yang diinduksi karbon tetraklorida (CCl4). True experimental dengan post test only with control group design. Sampel terdiri dari 25 tikus wistar jantan, terbagi secara randomisasi menjadi kelompok sehat (A) hanya diberikan aquadest, kelompok sakit (B) hanya diinduksi CCl4, dan kelompok perlakuan 1 (C), 2 (D), dan 3 (D) diberikan chlorella 3,6mg/200grBB; 7,2mg/200grBB; dan 14,4mg/200grBB per-hari selama 28 hari, dan diinduksi CCl4 0,2ml/100gr 2xseminggu selama 14 hari pertama, lalu diturunkan menjadi 0,1ml/100gr 2xseminggu selama 14 hari kedua. Hasil kadar AST setiap kelompok dianalisis dengan oneway Anova dan dilanjutkan uji Post Hoc LSD. Rerata kadar AST kelompok A 290.8 U/L, kelompok B 3412 U/L, kelompok C 2216 U/L, kelompok D 1422 U/L, dan kelompok E 1075 U/L. Terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna antar kelompok penelitian (p<0,05). Pemberian chlorella dapat mencegah peningkatan kadar AST pada hati tikus Rattus norvegicus yang diinduksi CCl4. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Chlorella is one of a algae green contain carotenoid which can be helpful as a natural antioxidant, but still little known by the society. The purpose of this study was to determine does giving the chlorella can prevent the increase of aspartate transaminase level (AST) in rattus norvegicus rats induced by carbon tetrachloride (CCl4). The method of this study is a true experimental with a post-test only with control group design. There are twenty five male Wistar rattus norvegicus rats divided randomly into healthy control (A) were given aquades only, sick control (B) induced by CCl4 only, treatment 1 (C), treatment 2 (D), and treatment 3 (E) were given chlorella oraly at the dose of 3,6mg/200grBB; 700mg/200grBB; and 14,4mg/200grBB everyday for 28 days also induced by CCl4 orally at 0,2ml/100grBB/twice a week for 14 days, then reduced to 0,1ml/100grBB/twice a week for 14 days. Result of AST level mean in Group A is, Group B is, Group C is, Group D is, and Group E is. The results of each group were analyzed by one way Anova followed by post hoc test. Mean of the AST level from group A is 290.8 U/L, group B is 3412 U/L, group C is 2216 U/L, group D is 1422 U/L, and group E is 1075 U/L. There were significantly different in groups (p<0,05). It can be concluded that chlorella had an effect on preventing the increase of aspartate transaminase in rattus norvegicus rats induced by CCl4. |
