Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) Mengetahui pengaruh komposisi media tanam terhadap pertumbuhan dan fisiologi tanaman cabai keriting. 2) Mendapatkan komposisi media tanam terbaik bagi pertumbuhan dan fisiologi tanaman cabai keriting. Penelitian ini berlangsung dari bulan Juli 2016 sampai September 2016 di screenhouse Desa Adipala, Kecamatan Karang Anyar, Kabupaten Cilacap. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap (RAKL) dengan 1 faktor percobaan yaitu jenis media. Media tanam terdiri dari : 100% pasir, 100% cocopeat, 100% abu sekam, 100% bahan organik, 50% pasir dan 50% cocopeat, 50% pasir 50% abu sekam, 50% pasir 50% bahan organik, 50% cocopeat dan 50% abu sekam, 50% cocopeat dan 50% bahan organik, 50% abu sekam dan 50% bahan organik, 25% pasir 25% cocopeat: 25% abu sekam 25% bahan organik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Komposisi media tanam dapat memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap variabel pertumbuhan dan fisiologi tanaman cabai. 2) Media 100% bahan organik merupakan media tanam terbaik dengan tinggi tanaman 16,76 cm, jumlah daun 8,20 helai, lebar daun 15,08 cm2, bobot segar tanaman 0,96 g, bobot segar akar 0,35 g, bobot segar daun 0,39 g, bobot kering tanaman 0,160 g, bobot kering akar 0,055 g, bobot kering daun 0,064 g, dan lebar bukaan stomata 1,84 µm.

Inggris)This research aims to study: 1) determine the response of the growing media composition to the growth and physiology of curls pepper plants. 2) knowing the best composition of growing media for growth and physiology of pepper curls plants. The research was conducted in screenhouse , Adipala village, Karang Anyar, Cilacap from July 2016 until September 2016 . This research using Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with one factor experiment that the type of media. The composition of the growing media consisting of: 100% sand, 100% cocopeat, 100% rice husk ash, 100% organic materials, 50% sand and 50% cocopeat, 50% sand and 50% rice husk ash, 50% sand and 50% organic material, 50% cocopeat and 50% rice husk ash, 50% cocopeat and 50% organic material 50% rice husk ash and 50% organic material, 25% sand 25% cocopeat: 25% husk ash 25% organic ingredients. The results showed that: 1) The results showed that the combination of growing media treatment showed significant results for the growth and physiological variables. 2) The use of media composition 100% organic material is the best growing media to produce 16.76 cm plant height, leaf number 8,20 strands, leaf width of 15.08 cm2, weight of fresh plant 0.96 g, weight of fresh root 0.35 g, weight of fresh leaf 0.39 g, dry weight of plants 0.160 g, weight of dry root 0.055 g, weight of dry leaf 0,064 g, and the width of stomata aperture of 1.84 µm
