| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini berjudul “Penggunaan Gambar Berseri Dalam Pengajaran Menulis Teks Naratif (Studi Eksploratif Dalam Penerapan Gambar Berseri dalam Pengajaran Menulis Teks Naratif untuk Siswa Kelas Sepuluh IPS 5 SMAN 3 Purwkerto Tahun Ajaran 2016/ 2017)”. Focus umum penelitian ini adalah pengajaran menulis. Fokus utama penelitian ini adalah penggunaan gambar berseri dalam pengjaran menulis teks naratif. Data diperloleh dari observasi, wawancara dan kuisioner. Data yang diperoleh dari observasi, interview dan kuisioner ditulis dalam bentuk catatan lapangan, transkrip wawancara dan kuisioner. Dalam menganalis data, peneliti menyelesksi, mentraskrip data yang sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian. Penelitian ini dirancang sebagai penelitan kualitatif. Penelitian ini merupakan studi eksploratif pada penerapan gambar berseri dalam pengajaran menulis teks naratif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) penerapan gambar berseri dalam pengajaran menulis teks naratif di kelas X IPS 5 tidak menemui masalah yang serius, (2) masalah yang dihadapi siswa yaitu keterbatasan pemahaan siswa terhadap penggunaan tenses, (3) Murid bersemangat dalam pembelajaran menulis teks naratif dengan menggunakan gambar berseri sebagai media pengajaran. Saran bagi guru Bahasa Inggris dan murid yang akan menerapkan gambar berseri dalam belajar menulis teks naratif adalah harus berlatih mengenai penggunaan tenses. Bagi peneliti yang tertarik pada hal yang sama dapat melakukan penelitian menggunakan jenis teks dan pada tingkat pendidikan yang berbeda. |

Inggris) | The research entitled “The Use of Pictures Series in Teaching Writing Narrative Text (An Explorative Study on The Implementation of Pictures Series in Teaching Writing Narrative Text to The Students of Tenth Grade Social 5 SMAN 3 Purwokerto School Year 2016/ 2017)”. The general concern of this research was teaching writing. The main concern of this research was the use of pictures series in teaching writing narrative text. The data were collected by using observation, interview and questionnaire. The data from observation, interview and questionnaire were written in the form of fieldnotes, interview transcript and questionnaire. In analyzing the data, researcher selected, and transcribed the data related to the research objectives. The data were presented through descriptive explanation. The was designed as qualitative research. It was an explorative study on the implementation of pictures series in teaching writing narrative text. The results of this research are (1) pictures series were implemented with no serious problems, (2) the problems faced by X social 5 students of SMAN 3 Purwokerto in learning writing narrative text using pictures series was limited understanding of the application of tenses, (3) students were enthusiastic in using pictures series as teaching media in writing narrative text activities. The suggestion for English teacher and Students who want to apply pictures series as teaching media should get more exercises about the application of tenses. For other researcher who have the same interest may study further in the application of pictures series in different text type and education level. |
