| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Ethnobotany is the study of human direct relationship with the plant in the traditional utilization. The use of plants can be grouped into clothing materials, board materials, construction, household appliances, agricultural equipment, ropes, webbing, and other uses. This study aims to determine the plants used as raw materials traditional crafts and all kinds of traditional handicrafts contained in Purbalingga district. This research used survey method, and the sampling is done by randomly chosen (purposive random sampling) and the data were analyzed descriptively, the description is about the plant used, a variety of traditional crafts and the processing. The results of this study is to provide information and increase knowledge about traditional crafts in Purbalingga. The result of this research is there are eight species of plants that commonly used as traditional craft in Purbalingga. Part of the plant used as a traditional craft are: stems, leaves, flowers, fruit and the variety of traditional crafts that made such as: benches, chairs, bamboo wall / booths, cap, cething, winnowing, steamer, rinjing, food cover, waste baskets, dust pan, trays, fruit basket, decorative lamp, vase, jar, pencil case, fan (ilir), kuda lumping, bird cage, irig, water dipper, ladle, ashtray, sorok, soup spoon, cups, bowls, lamp shells, tissue box, key chains, money box, mortar, pestle, soled, broom fiber, broom, woven mats, brooms glagah. Craft processing are usually done by weaving. |
