| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini membahas estimator ordinary least square (OLS) pada model regresi linier sederhana yang bersifat tak bias dan konsisten ketika tidak terjadi kesalahan pengukuran. Adanya kesalahan pengukuran pada variabel bebas mengakibatkan estimator OLS menjadi bias dan tidak konsisten. Melalui simulasi yang dilakukan dengan membandingkan nilai mean square error (MSE), hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh ukuran sampel yang semakin besar memberikan nilai MSE tanpa kesalahan pengukuran menuju nol. Nilai MSE dengan kesalahan pengukuran lebih besar dari pada nilai MSE tanpa kesalahan pengukuran, yang nilainya bergantung pada besarnya mutlak slope dan variansi kesalahan pengukuran. Hal ini menunjukkan estimator OLS tidak konsisten.

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This research discussed the ordinary least squares (OLS) estimator for simple linear regression model that is unbiased and consistent when there is not measurement error. Measurement error in the independent variable resulted OLS estimators to be biased and inconsistent. Through simulation by comparing the value of the mean square error (MSE), the results showed that the influence of the more sample size gives the MSE without measurement error toward zero. The MSE values with measurement error greater than the value of MSE without measurement error, which depends on the absolute magnitude of the slope and the variance of measurement error. It is mean that the estimator in OLS inconsistent. |
