Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Sinbiotik merupakan gabungan dari probiotik dan prebiotik yang dapat memperbaiki mikroflora disaluran pencernaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi penggunaan sinbiotik sebagai feed aditif terhadap jumlah Bakteri Asam Laktat (BAL), Escherichia colli, tinggi dan lebar vili usus. Ayam Sentul jantan sebanyak 63 ekor yang dipelihara mulai umur 2 bulan sampai umur 4 bulan. Perlakuan R0 = Pakan kontrol, R1 Sinbiotik alami (2%), R2 = Sinbiotik Alami (4%), R3 = Sinbiotik Alami (6%), R4 = Sinbiotik Komersil (2%), R5 = Sinbiotik Komersil (4%), R6 = Sinbiotik Komersil (6%). Analisis statistik yang digunakan adalah ANOVA (Analisis Varian) dan uji lanjut menggunakan Orthogonal kontras. Hasil penelitian menunjukan pemberian sinbiotik berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap kondisi mikroflora usus, meningkatkan jumlah bakteri asam laktat, dan menurunkan jumlah Escherichia colli) sedangkan perlakuan berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap histologi tinggi dan lebar vili usus), rataan jumlah bakteri asam laktat yang diperoleh pada duodenum 5,42 ± 0,39 jejenum 4,56 ± 0,35 dan ileum 5,18 ± 0,60 x 106 CFU/ml (Colony Forming Unit)/ml) . Rataan jumlah Escherichia colli yang diperoleh 4,87 ± 0,37 jejenum 4,91± 0,58 dan ileum 4,48 ± 0,41 x 106 CFU/ml. Rataan Tinggi vili yang diperoleh pada duodenum 127,28 ± 29,28 jejenum 125,57 ± 28,79 dan ileum 120,42 ± 37,28 µm. Rataan lebar vili yang diperoleh duodenum 47,14 ± 6,86 jejenum 46,28 ± 4,53 dan ileum 45,42 ± 10,01 µm. Simpulan dari penelitian adalah penggunaan Sinbiotik Alami 2% dapat meningkatkan, jumlah bakteri asam laktat di duodenum, jejenum dan ileum, menurunkan bakteri Escherichia colli di ileum. Penggunaan sinbiotik komersil 4% meningkatkan, tinggi vili usus duodenum, jejenum dan ileum, dan lebar vili di ileum.
Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris)Synbiotic is a combination of probiotic and prebiotic which is used to improve microflora in digestive system. This study aims to determine the effect of synbiotic usage as a feed additive toward the number of lactic acid bacteria, Escherichia coli, the height and the width of villi. Used 63 animals of 2-4 months old Sentul rooster. Treatment R0 = Diet control, R1 Natural Synbiotic (2%), R2 = Natural Synbiotic (4%), R3 = Natural Synbiotic (6%), R4 = Commercial Synbiotic (2%), R5 = Commercial Synbiotic (4%), R6 = Commercial Synbiotic (6%). Statistical analysis used was ANOVA (Analysis of Variant) and advance test to use Orthogonal contrasts The data were analyzed using completely random design and were continued with further test of Orthogonal Contrast. The result of this research showed the given synbiotic is significant (P<0,05) toward the condition of the intestinal micro flora, (the number of lactic acid bacteria and Escherichia coli), as well as significant (P<0,05) toward the hystological of the height and the width of the intestinal villi). The average number of lactic acid bacteria obtained in duodenum 5.42 ± 4.56, jejunum 0.39 ± 0.35, and ileum 5.18 ± 0.60 x 106 CFU/ml respectively. The average number of Escherichia coli obtained in duodenum 4.87 ± 0.37, jejunum 4.91 ± 0.58, and ileum 4.48 ± 0.41 x 106 CFU/ml respectively. The height average of villi obtained in duodenum 127.28 ± 29.28, jejunum 125.57 ± 28.79, and ileum 120.42 ± 37.28 µm respectively. The width average of duodenum villi obtained 47.14 ± 6.86, jejunum 46.28 ± 4.53, and ileum 45.42 ± 10.01 µm respectively. The conclusions of the study is the use 2% of natural synbiotic can increase the amount of lactic acid bacteria in duodenum, jejunum, and ileum. However, it reduces Escherichia coli in ileum, the height of intestinal villi in duodenum and the width of intestinal villi in ileum. The use 4% of commercial synbiotic can increase the height of intestinal villi in duodenum, jejunum, and ileum. It also increases the width of intestinal villi in ileum.
