| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan bobot potong dan persentase karkas sapi jantan yang dipotong di rumah potong hewan (RPH) yang berada di desa tambaksari purwokerto. Materi penelitian yaitu sapi Peranakan Ongole (PO) 35 ekor dan sapi Peranakan Limousin (PL) 35 ekor. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survei dengan teknik pengambilan data menggunakan purposive sampling. Data yang terkumpul disajikan dalam bentuk tabel deskriptif, kemudian di analisis dengan menggunakan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa ka sapi Peranakan Ongole menghasilkan rataan bobot potong 363,99 ± 27,853 kg, bobot karkas 155,83 ± 15,14 kg dan persentase karkas 42,91 ± 2,268 %. Sapi Peranakan Limousin menghasilkan rataan bobot potong 422,72 ± 30,359 kg, bobot karkas 178,32 ± 11,92 kg dan Persentase karkas 42,20 ± 1,569 %. Dari hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat diketahui bahwa sapi Peranakan Limousin mampu menghasilkan bobot potong dan bobot karkas lebih tinggi dari sapi Peranakan Ongole dan menunjukan perbedaan yang nyata (P < 0,01). Tetapi persentase karkas sapi Peranakan Ongole lebih unggul 0,71% dari persentase karkas sapi Peranakan Limousin dan tidak berbeda nyata (P > 0,05). |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The aim of this research was to perceive the differences between slaughter weight and carcass percentage of male cattle that were slaughter in a Slaughter House (SH) of Tambaksari, district of Purwokerto. The subject of research was Cross Breed Ongole Cattle, 35 bulls and Cross Breed Limousin Cattle, 35 bulls. This research’s method was survey method with the technique of data collections using purposive sampling. The collective data were presented in a format of descriptive table, then were analyzed with the t test. The results of the research showed that Cross Breed Ongole Cattle produced an average of slaughter weight of 363.99 ± 27.853 kg, carcass weight of 155.83 ± 15.14 kg and carcass percentage of 42.91 ± 2.268 %. Cross Breed Limousin Cattle produced an average of slaughter weight of 422.72 ± 30.359 kg, carcass weight of 178.32 ± 11.92 kg and carcass percentage of 42.20 ± 1.569 %. Based on the results, it showed that Cross Breed Limousin Cattle could produce slaughter weight and carcass weight higher than Cross Breed Ongole Cattle which showed a significant differences. But the carcass percentage of Cross Breed Ongole Cattle was excellent of 0.71% than the carcass percentage of Cross Breed Limousin Cattle and a not significant different (P > 0.05). |
