| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan April – Mei 2016, di Rumah Potong Hewan Purwokerto, Banyumas, Jawa Tengah. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui ukuran linear tubuh dengan bobot non karkas luar sapi PO serta hubungan diantara kedua variabel. Materi penelitian yang digunakan adalah 50 ekor sapi PO jantan. Variabel yang diukur lingkar dada (LD), panjang badan (PB), tinggi gumba (TG), bobot non karkas luar meliputi kepala, kulit, kaki bagian bawah (lower leg). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei dengan teknik pengambilan data menggunakan pendekatan purposive sampling. Analisis penelitian menggunakan analisis regresi berganda, analisis korelasi, koefisien determinasi, ANOVA dan uji t. Hasil penelitian diperoleh data LD, PB, dan TG masing-masing sebesar 176,14 ± 9,76 cm, 121,66 ± 6,46 cm, dan 133,66 ± 5,64 cm, sedangkan bobot kepala, kulit, kaki bagian bawah, dan bobot total non karkas luar masing-masing adalah 17,15 ± 2,01 kg, 27,12 ± 5,10 kg, 7,54 ± 1,02 kg dan 51,82 ± 7,70 kg. Hasil analisis regresi berganda menunjukkan bahwa Bkep = -18,469 + 0,121 LD + 0,117 PB, Bkul = -50,921 + 0,224 LD + 0,317 PB, BKB = -10,040 + 0,078 PB + 0,061 TG dan BTN = -76,636 + 0,367 LD + 0,524 PB. Uji ANAVA menunjukkan bahwa ukuran LD, PB dan TG berhubungan sangat nyata (P<0,01) dengan bobot non karkas luar. Setelah dilakukan uji t parsial, ukuran LD dan PB mempunyai hubungan yang sangat nyata (P<0,01) dengan bobot kepala dan bobot total non karkas luar, serta mempunyai hubungan yang nyata (P<0,05) dengan bobot kulit. Sedangakan ukuran PB memiliki hubungan yang sangat nyata (P<0,01) dan TG memiliki hubungan yang nyata (P<0,05) dengan bobot kaki bagian bawah. | Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This study was conducted from April - May 2016 in the Purwokerto Slaughter House, Banyumas, Central Java. The study aimed to determine the size of the linear body with external non-carcass weight of PO cattle and the relationship between the two variables. The research materials used were 50 head of PO male cattle. The measured variables were the chest circumference (LD), body length (PB), high-Gumba (TG), outer non-carcass weight covering of the head, skin, lower. The method used was survey with data collection techniques using purposive sampling approach. The research analysis used multiple regression analysis, correlation analysis, coefficient of determination, The ANOVA and partial t-test. The results of the research data showed LD, PB, and TG respectively 176.14 ± 9.76 cm, 121.66 ± 6.46 cm and 133.66 ± 5.64 cm, whereas the weight of the head, skin, lower leg, and the total weight non carcass outside of each is 17.15 ± 2.01 cm, 27.12 ± 5.10 cm, 7.54 ± 1.02 cm and 51.82 ± 7.70 cm. The results of multiple regression analysis showed that -18.469 + 0.121 LD + 0.117 PB, Bkul = -50.921 + 0.224 LD + 0.317 PB, BKB = -10.040 + 0.078 PB + 0.061 TG and BTN = -76.636 + 0.367 LD + 0.524 PB. ANOVA test showed that the size of the LD, PB and TG have a relationship that was highly significant (P<0.01) with weight of non-carcass outside. After testing the t-partial, size of LD and PB have a very significant (P<0.01) relationship with a head weight and total weight of non carcass outside, and have a significant (P<0.05) relationship with weight of the skin. While the size of the PB has a very significant (P<0.01) relationship with lower leg and TG have real relationship (P<0.05) to the weight of lower leg. It can be concluded that the size of the linear body has a positive relationship with the external non-carcass weight of the PO cattle.
