Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Telah dilakukan sintesis crosslink kitosan-tripolifosfat (TPP) dan aplikasinya dalam penurunan kadar tartrazine. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik kitosan dan crosslink kitosan-TPP, kondisi optimum dan kapasitas adsorpsi. Sintesis crosslink kitosan-TPP dilakukan dengan mereaksikan larutan kitosan dengan natrium tripolifosfat pH 3. Kitosan dan crosslink kitosan-TPP dikarakterisasi dengan spektroskopi FTIR. Kitosan dan crosslink kitosan-TPP selanjutnya digunakan untuk mengadsorpsi tartrazine. Hasil analisis menggunakan FTIR menunjukkan telah terbentuknya kitosan dengan adanya gugus –NH2 pada bilangan gelombang 1589,34 cm-1 dan crosslink kitosan-TPP dengan adanya gugus –PO pada daerah 1026,13 cm-1. Crosslink kitosan-TPP dapat mengadsorpsi tartrazine sebesar 0,0156 mg/g.
Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris)Synthesis of chitosan-tripolyphosfate crosslink had been done and its application for tartrazine adsorption. The aim of this study was to determine differences of the characteristics of chitosan and crosslink chitosan-TPP, optimum condition and adsorption capacity of crosslink chitosan-TPP. The synthesis of chitosan-tripolyphosfate crosslink in this research was carried out by reacting a solution of chitosan in acetic acid with sodium tripolyphosfate pH 3. The chitosan and chitosan-tripolyphosfate crosslink were characterized by FTIR. The study about chitosan-tripolyphosphate crosslink adsorption toward tartrazine. The result of FTIR analysis showed that the absorption at 1589.34 cm-1 were an amide group and 1026,13 cm-1 were the vibration range of P-O. Crosslink chitosan-TPP could adsorp tartrazine with the adsorption capacity 0,0156 mg/g.
