| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui 1) perbandingan komposisi media tanam tanah, pasir dan pupuk kandang yang terbaik untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jahe, 2) frekuensi penyiraman yang paling tepat untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jahe dan 3) kombinasi perlakuan antara komposisi media tanam tanah, pasir dan pupuk kandang dengan frekuensi penyiraman yang terbaik untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jahe. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Greenhouse Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, pada Januari sampai Mei 2016. Penelitian menggunakan RAKL (Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap) dengan 2 faktor yang terdiri atas komposisi media tanah:pasir:pupuk kandang (1:1:1, 2:1:1, 1:2:1) dan frekuensi penyiraman (2 hari sekali, 3 hari sekali, 4 hari sekali), sehingga terdapat 9 kombinasi perlakuan. Variabel yang diamati yaitu tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, jumlah anakan, bobot akar segar dan kering, panjang akar, bobot tajuk segar dan kering, serta bobot rimpang segar dan kering. Data dianalisis dengan uji F, apabila terdapat keragaman dilanjut dengan DMRT pada taraf kesalahan 5% dan regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komposisi media tanah:pasir:pupuk kandang tidak berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jahe, frekuensi penyiraman berpengaruh terhadap hasil rimpang segar dan frekuensi penyiraman optimal pada 3 hari sekali. Komposisi media tanah:pasir:pupuk kandang (1:1:1) dengan frekuensi penyiraman 4 hari sekali memberikan hasil terbaik pada variabel bobot tajuk segar dan kering, serta bobot akar segar dan kering.

Inggris) | This research aimed to determine 1) the best ratio of planting medium composition of soil, sand and manure for the growth and yield of ginger, 2) the most appropriate frequency of watering for the growth and yield of ginger and 3) the best combination treatments of planting media composition of soil, sand and manure in the frequency of watering for the growth and yield of ginger plants. The research was conducted in the Green House, Faculty of Agriculture, Jenderal Soedirman University, from January to May 2016. This research used Randomized Completely Block Design with two factors comprising the soil: sand: manure (1: 1: 1, 2: 1 : 1, 1: 2: 1) composition of the soil and the frequency of watering (2 days, 3 days, 4 days), hence there were nine combinations of treatments. The observed variables were height of plant, number of leaves, area of leaves, number of tillers, weight of fresh and dry root, length of root, weight of fresh and dry of plant canopy, as well as the weight of fresh and dry ginger. Data were analyzed with F test, if there were variations, then it was followed by DMRT at the level of 5% error and regression. The results showed that the composition of the soil media: sand: manure is not effect on the growth and yield of ginger, while the frequency of watering is effect on the results of fresh ginger and the frequency of optimal watering once in 3 days. The composition of the soil: sand: manure (1: 1: 1) with the frequency of watering once in four days gave the best results in the weight of fresh and dry plant canopy variable and weight of fresh and dry root variable.
