| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Kompor UB 16 BE merupakan jenis kompor yang didisain menggunakan bahan bakar bioetanol. Kompor ini merupakan modifikasi dari kompor UB 16 yang selama tahun 2008 dan 2009 telah diproduksi sejumlah 12.000 unit dan tersebar di seluruh Indonesia. Penelitian ini adalah uji performasi kompor UB 16 BE dengan menggunakan bahan bakar bioetanol kadar 60% dan 85% dari bahan baku molase. Tujuan dari penelitian untuk mengetahui performansi kompor UB 16 BE berbahan bakar bioetanol dari bahan baku molase, serta waktu dan konsumsi bahan bakar yang dibutuhkan untuk mendidihkan air. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Teknik Sistem Termal dan Energi Terbarukan, Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jenderal Soedirman Purwokerto. Metode yang digunakan adalah pengamatan secara langsung. Variabel yang diamati meliputi perubahan suhu sistem setiap 5 menit, suhu air, RH dan suhu lingkungan, konsumsi bahan bakar, waktu pendidihan air, dan massa air menguap. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah efisiensi energi pada kompor UB 16 BE dengan kadar bioetanol 60 % adalah 27,22% dan kadar 85 % adalah 29,47% .Efisiensi tungku pada kompor UB 16 BE dengan kadar bioetanol 60 % adalah 27,35% dan kadar 85 % adalah 29,64%. Konsumsi bahan bakar kompor UB 16 BE untuk mendidihkan 2 liter air pada bioetanol kadar 60% adalah 0,243 liter dan kadar 85% adalah 0,206 liter. Berdasarkan variabel ukur yang digunakan, performansi kompor UB 16 BE menggunakan bahan bakar kadar 85% lebih bagus dibandingkan dengan bahan bakar kadar 60%. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | UB 16 BE stove is a designed stove using bioethanol fuel. This stove is a modification of the UB 16 stove that during 2008 and 2009 has produced a number of 12,000 units and spread through out Indonesia. This research was test performance UB 16 BE stove with bioethanol fuel with concentrations used were 60% and 85% from molasses. The objective of the Research is to know the efficiency of UB 16 BE stove using bioethanol fuel from molasses and knowing the time and fuel consumption to boil of water. Research has been conducted in Thermal System and Renewable Energy Engineering Laboratory, Jenderal Soedirman University, Purwokerto. The method of direct observation. Variables observed were the change in system temperature every five minutes, water temperature, RH and environmental temperature, fuel consumption, time to boil water and water evaporated. The result obtained was the energy efficiency for UB 16 BE stoves with biethanol contentrantion 60% was 27.22% and 85% was 29.47%, The stove efficiency for UB 16 BE with biethanol contentrantion 60% was 27.35% and 85% was 29.64%. Fuel consumption of UB 16 BE stove to boil 2 liters water with biethanol contentrantion 60% was 0.243 liters and 85% was 0.206 liters. Based on the variables measurement used, performance of UB 16 BE stove using fuel with concentrations 85% is better than using fuel with concentrations 60%. |
