Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggantikan konsentrat komersial serta mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan limbah ikan tongkol dihidrolisis enzim papain dan pollard fermentasi terhadap bobot telur dan indeks telur ayam Arab. Penelitian menggunakan 60 ekor ayam Arab Silver (Silver kriel braked) umur 5 bulan. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan yaitu R0 (kepala ikan tongkol dihidrolisis enzim papain dan pollard fermentasi 0%), R1 (kepala ikan tongkol dihdrolisis enzim papain dan pollard fermentasi 12%), R2 (kepala ikan tongkol dihidrolisis enzim papain dan pollard fermentasi 24%), R3 (kepala ikan tongkol dihidrolisis enzim papain dan pollard fermentasi 36%). Hasil penelitian diperoleh rataan bobot telur sebesar R0 = 37,36 ± 1,39 g, R1 = 38,19 ± 2,14 g, R2 = 37,06 ± 2,17 g dan R3 = 38,47 ± 0,85 g. dan indeks telur sebesar R0 = 78,10 ± 1,85%, R1 = 77,10 ± 1,53%, R2 = 77,14 ± 0,97% dan R3 = 76,73 ± 0,52%. Analisis ragam menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap bobot telur dan indeks telur ayam Arab. Kesimpulan penelitian ini bahwa penggunaan kepala ikan tongkol dihidrolisis enzim papain dan pollard fermentasi dapat menggantikan konsentrat pabrik sampai level 36% menghasilkan bobot telur dan indeks telur ayam Arab yang relatif sama.

Inggris)This study aims to determine a substitute for commercial concentrate and to measure the effects of using tuna fish waste hydrolyzed with papain enzyme and fermented pollard on the weight and indexes of Arab chicken eggs. Utilizing 60 five-month-old silver Arab chickens (Silver kriel braked), the experiment was designed within a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 replications. The treatments, which were different percentages of tuna head hydrolyzed with papain enzyme and fermented pollard, were R0 (head tuna fish hydrolyzed with papain enzyme and fermented pollard 0%), R1 (head tuna fish hydrolyzed with papain enzyme and fermented pollard 12%), R2 (head tuna fish hydrolyzed with papain enzyme and fermented pollard 24%), R3 (head tuna fish hydrolyzed with papain enzyme and fermented pollard 36%). The results showed that the average of egg weight were R0= 37.36 ± 1.39 g, R1= 38.19 ± 2.14 g, R2= 37.06 ± 2.17 g and R3= 38.47 ± 0.85 g , while that of egg index for R0= 78.10 ± 1.85%, R1= 77.10 ± 1.53%, R2= 77.14 ± 0.97% and R3= 76.73 ± 0.52%. The analysis of variance showed that the treatments were not significant (P> 0.05) on the eggs’ weight and indexes. This study concludes that the use of tuna head hidrolyzed with papain enzyme and fermented pollard can substitute commercial concentrate up to 36% by producing equal weight and indexs of Arab chicken eggs.
