| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penyu merupakan reptil yang hidup di laut serta mampu bermigrasi dalam jarak yang jauh di sepanjang kawasan Samudera Hindia, Samudera Pasifik, dan Benua Asia. Namun keberadaannya telah lama terancam baik kehidupan di alam maupun dari kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh manusia yang dapat membahayakan populasi penyu secara langsung maupun tidak langsung. Penelitian berjudul “Studi Karakteristik Habitat Peneluran Penyu Sisik (Eretmochelys imbricata) di Pesisir Cilacap” dilaksanakan pada November 2015.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui faktor fisik dan biologi habitat Penyu Sisik di pesisir Cilacap.Alat yang digunakan adalah transek kuadrat 20x20m² untuk menghitung vegetasi pantai dan menggunakan alat seperti thermometer, GPS, water pass untuk mengukur kemiringan pantai, suhu sarang pasir, dan suhu permukaan pasir. Hasil dari pengukuran suhu permukaan pasir, suhu sarang pasir, kemiringan pantai, indeks keseragaman dan indeks kerapatan menunjukan hasil yang berbeda dari kelima pantai.Suhu permukaan berkisar antara 29-33,3°C, suhu sarang berkisar antara 27-30,6°C, kemiringan pantai berkisar antara 3,8-33°, indeks keseragaman berkisar antara 0,06-0,35, indeks kerapatan berkisar antara 0,03-0,18 individu/m2. Hasil dari analisis sedimen dari kelima pantai, sedimen yang dominan di kelima pantai tersebut yaitu pasir kasar dan pasir halus. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Sea turtle is a reptile that lived in the sea and be able to migrate long distances along the Indian Ocean, the Pacific Ocean, and the continent of Asia. But unfortunately its existence has long threatened both their lives in natural and human activities carried out by that can harm the turtle population is directly or indirectly. The study of “Study Characteristic Nesting Habitat of Sea Turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata) in Coastal Cilacap” was done in November 2015. The purpose of this study was to determine the physical and biological factors Sea turtle habitat in the Coastal Cilacap. Sampling of Sea turtle was done using squares transect 20x20m² to measure coastal vegetation and se tools such as thermometers, GPS, to measure the water pass slope beach, nest temperature, and surface temperature. The results of measurements of surface temperature, the temperature of the nest, the slope of the beach, the diversity and density of the beach showed different results from the five beaches. The surface temperature have a ranges 29-33,3°C, temperature of the nest have a ranges 27-30,6°C, the slope of the beach have a ranges 3,8-33°, the diversity have a ranges 0,06-0,35 and density have a ranges 0,03-0,18. The results of the analysis of the five coastal sediments, sediments are dominant in the fifth beach is coarse sand and fine sand. |
