| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Purwokerto merupakan salah satu pasar potensial bagi berbagai komoditas, termasuk buah jeruk lokal. Sebagai salah satu pasar potensial buah jeruk lokal, maka perlu dianalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi permintaan buah jeruk lokal di Purwokerto sehingga dapat memprediksi kebutuhan masyarakat akan buah jeruk lokal dan mengetahui dampak apabila terjadi perubahan harga dan pendapatan terhadap tingkat konsumsi dan permintaan buah jeruk lokal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik konsumen buah jeruk lokal di Purwokerto, menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi permintaan buah jeruk lokal di Purwokerto, dan menghitung elastisitas permintaan buah jeruk lokal di Purwokerto. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari sampai dengan Maret 2016 dengan sasaran penelitian adalah konsumen buah jeruk lokal. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survei. Analisis yang dilakukan adalah analisis deskriptif, analisis regresi linear berganda, dan elastisitas permintaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik konsumen buah jeruk lokal di Purwokerto mayoritas berprofesi sebagai ibu rumah tangga, berjenis kelamin perempuan, kisaran usia antara 31 sampai dengan 40 tahun, telah menyelesaikan pendidikan akhir tamat SMA/SMK, memiliki jumlah pendapatan rumah tangga antara Rp1.000.000,00 sampai dengan Rp4.999.999,00 per bulan, memiliki jumlah anggota keluarga dalam rumah tangga sebesar 4 orang dan melakukan pembelian dengan frekuensi 2 kali per bulan. Faktor-faktor yang secara nyata mempengaruhi permintaan buah jeruk lokal di Purwokerto adalah jumlah pendapatan rumah tangga dan frekuensi pembelian. Elastisitas permintaan harga buah jeruk lokal bersifat inelastis, elastisitas silang menunjukkan bahwa buah jeruk impor merupakan barang pelengkap buah jeruk lokal dan elastisitas pendapatan menunjukkan bahwa buah jeruk lokal merupakan barang normal.

As one of the potential market of local orange fruit, so it needs to analize the factors that influence the demand of local orange fruit in Purwokerto so that can be predicted the society needs on local orange fruit and to know the impact if there is a change in price and income to consuming rate and the demand of local orange fruit. The study aims to know the characteristics of local fruit orange consumers in Purwokerto, to analize the factors that influence the demand of local orange fruit in Purwokerto, and to count the demand elasticity of local orange fruit in Purwokerto. The research was conducted in January to March 2016 with the goal of research is local orange fruit consumers. The method used is the survey method. Data analysis is descriptive analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, and the elasticity of demand. The result shows that the consumer characteristics of local orange fruit majority work as the housewife, with the sex female, the age category of the respondents between 31 to 40 years, have graduated from senior high school, the total family income among Rp1.000.000,00 to Rp4.999.999,00 per month, the number of family members for 4 persons, and frequency of purchases for 2 times per month. Factors that influence the demand for local orange fruit is the family income and frequency of purchases. The elasticity of demand price for local orange fruit is inelastic, the cross-price elasticity indicates that import orange fruits can be considered as complementer of local orange fruit, and the income elasticity indicates that local orange fruit is as a category of normal goods.
