| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil kepemilikan Sapi Pasundan berdasarkan umur fisiologis (anak, muda, dewasa) dan jenis kelamin (betina, jantan), mengetahui perbedaan profil kepemilikan Sapi Pasundan pada agroekosistem tanah basah dan agroekosistem tanah kering. Sasaran penelitian yaitu Sapi Pasundan yang tersebar di tiga kecamatan (11 desa) Kabupaten Ciamis. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode survei. Penentuan lokasi berdasarkan purvosive sampling di tiga kecamatan Kabupaten Ciamis. Kecamatan dan desa tersebut merupakan daerah pengembangan serta merupakan daerah dengan populasi Sapi Pasundan terbanyak di Kabupaten Ciamis. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan metode sensus dengan responden seluruh peternak Sapi Pasundan. Variabel yang diamati adalah jumlah total kepemilikan Sapi Pasundan, jumlah kepemilikan Sapi Pasundan anak, jumlah kepemilikan Sapi Pasundan muda, dan jumlah kepemilikan Sapi Pasundan dewasa. Jumlah Kepemilikan Sapi Pasundan di Kabupaten Ciamis mayoritas sapi dewasa 75 ekor (51,7%) terdiri atas sapi dewasa betina 65 ekor (44,8%) sapi dewasa jantan 10 ekor (6,9%), sapi muda 49 ekor (33,8%) terdiri atas sapi muda betina 13 ekor (9 %) sapi muda jantan 33 ekor (22,8 %), dan pedet 21 ekor (14,5%) terdiri atas pedet betina 7 ekor (4,8%) pedet jantan 14 ekor (9,7%). Hasil analisis chi-square profil kepemilikan Sapi Pasundan berdasarkan umur fisiologis dan jenis kelamin di wilayah agroekosistem tanah basah dan agroekosistem tanah kering tidak berbeda nyata (P > 0,05). |

The title research is “Profile of Pasundan Cattle Ownership The aim of this study was to know the profile of Pasundan Cattle ownership based on physiological age (calf, heifer, cow) and sex (female, male), to know the differences of profile Pasundan Cattle based on physiological age and sex on wetland and dryland agroecosystem. The target of the research was Pasundan Cattle that is the largest in three Sub-district (11 villages) of Ciamis. The research was conducted by used the method of survey. Locations selection bases on purposive sampling in three sub-districts of Ciamis. Three sub-districts and village are the development region and that the largest Pasundan Cattle population in Ciamis district. Tecnicque of taking data used the method of census with all respondents of the Pasundan Cattle. Variables that were the amount of Pasundan Cattle ownership, the amount of calf Pasundan Cattle ownership, the amount of heifer Pasundan Cattle ownership, and the amount of cow Pasundan Cattle ownership. The ammount of Pasundan Cattle ownership in Ciamis, the mayority was of adult cattle were 75 heads (51.7%), consisted of cows 65 (44.8%) bulls 10 (6.9%), then 49 heifers (33.8%), consisted of 13 heifers (9%) 33 steers (22.8%), and 21 calfs (14.5%) consists of 7 female calfs (4.8%) 14 male calfs (14.7%). Chi-square analysis results of profile Pasundan Cattle ownership based on physiological age and sex on wetland agroecosystem and dryland agroecosystem were not significantly different (P > 0.05). |
