| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui deskripsi statistik karakteristik antara bobot badan dan produksi telur, perbedaan bobot badan dan produksi telur periode awal pada itik Magelang dan itik Tegal, serta hubungan antara karakteristik tersebut. Materi yang digunakan berjumlah 80 ekor itik yang terdiri dari itik Magelang danTegal betina umur 24 sampai 36 minggu masing-masing 40 ekor. Pakan itik yang diberikan berupa dedak, jagung dan konsentrat itik petelur. Metode penelitian adalah eksperimen dengan menggunakan analisis regresi dan uji t. Rataan dan simpang baku bobot badan pada itik Magelang dan itik Tegal masing-masing sebesar 1713,08 ± 151,26 g dan 1339,45 ± 111,17 g dan produksi telur harianperiode awal 64,07 ± 3,43 g dan 63,41 ± 3,30 g. Hasil analisis statistik bobot badan itik Magelang dan itik Tegal beda sangat nyata dan produksi telur tidak beda nyata. Terdapat hubungan antara bobot badan dengan produksi telur periode awal itik Magelang dan itik Tegal dengan koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 20% dan 1,68%, dengan persamaan regresi masing-masing Y = 46,679 + 0,0102X dan Y = 58,244 + 0,0039X. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada umur yang sama bobot badan itik Magelang lebih besar dibandingkan itik Tegal dan produksi telur itik Magelang dan itik Tegal relatif sama. Bobot badan itik Magelang berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap produksi telur dan bobot badan itik Tegal tidak berpengaruh terhadap produksi telur. |

Inggris) | The objectives of this study were to acquire statistical descriptions of the characteristic of body weight and egg production of Tegal duck and Magelang duck, to determine the differences in their body weight and egg production at the initial spawning age, and the relationship between these characteristics. The research materials were 80 ducks consisting of famele Magelang and Tegal duck aged 24 to 36 weeks each of which was 40 duck. The feed given were bran, corn and concentrates of laying ducks. The research method was experimental using regression analysis and t test. The mean and standard deviations of body weight of Magelang duck and Tegal duckwere, respectively, 1713.08 ± 151.26 g and 1339.45 ± 111.17 g, while the egg production at their initial period were 64.07 ± 3.43 and 63.41 g ± 3.30 g. The results of statistical analysis showed that the body weight of Magelang ducks and ducks Tegal was highly significant different,while the egg production was not significantly different. There is a relationship between body weight and egg production period of both Magelang and Tegal ducks with a coefficient of determination (R2) of 20 % and 1.68% , with each regression equation Y= 46.679 + 0,0102X and Y= 58.244 + 0,0039X. This study concludes that at the same age, the body weight of Magelang duck is greater than that of Tegal duck, and the egg production of both Magelang ducks and Tegal ducks is relatively equal. The body weight of Magelang duck’ very significantly effectstheir egg production, while the body weight of Tegal ducks not significantly effecst their egg production. |
