| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Daerah penelitian berada di Perairan Sangeang, Kabupaten Bima, Sumbawa, Nusa Tenggara Barat, Indonesia.Total wilayah meliputi 15% darat dan 85% laut. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui kondisi geologi dan kontrol struktur geologi terhadap potensi deposit mineral logam bawah laut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian terdiri dari sampling litologi dan mineral butir, batimetri, seismik refleksi, dan geomagnet. Morfologi daerah penelitian meliputi Gunung Sangeang Api dan morfologi bawah laut berupa lereng pada bagian utara dan selatan, morfologi lembah dibagian tengah, serta morfologi gunungapi bawah laut. Litologi terdiri dari material hasil Gunung Sangeang Api yaitu Andesit dan material ekonomis berupa mineral logam bawah laut. Mineral logam yang hadir terdiri dari mineral Magnetit, Hematit, Ilminit, garnet, Kalkopirit serta Emas. Secara stratigrafi bawah laut tersusun atas 4 lapisan batuan yaitu A, B, C, dan D.Struktur geologi daerah penelitian dipengaruhi oleh perkembangan tektonik yang ada di kawasan Timur Indonesia yaitu didominasi oleh sesar naik dengan arah relatif barat-timur. Daerah penelitian memiliki kehadiran anomali magnetik positif yang diduga pada sebaran anomali tersebut berpotensi terdapat deposit mineral logam bawah laut. Sebaran deposit mineral logam bawah laut tersebut memiliki arah barat – timur. Sehingga diketahui struktur geologi mengontrol deposit tersebut karena memiliki arah yang relatif sama. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The research area is located in Sangeang Island, Bima, Sumbawa, West Nusa Tenggara. Total region included 15% of land and 85% of sea. This research is done to know the condition of geology and control of geology structure for potential deposite of ore mineral in submarine. The methods that are used in this research consist of lithology sampling, graincounting sampling, bathymetry, seismic refletion, and geomagnet. The morphology included Sangeang Api volcano, while the morphology in submarine are ridge on the north and south side, with valley on the center of both ridge, and seamount. The lithology which consist of material products from Sangeang Api volcano, is Andesite rock and economic materials are submarine ore mineral. Ore minerals that exist are Magnetite, Hematite, Ilmenite, Garnet, Chalcopyrite, and Gold. Based on submarine stratigraphy are consist of 4 layer,these are A, B, C and D layer. Geology structure of the research area is influenced by development of tectonic in Eastern of Indonesia, these are dominance thrust fault with relative west – east direction. The location of research have postive anomaly magnetic presence, which is assumped have potential ore mineral deposite at the spreading of anomaly. The spreading of that potential ore mineral deposite have relative west – eastdirection, so will be known that geology structure which control that deposite because both of that have the same direction. |
