| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Tujuan penelitian adalah mengkaji pengaruh perbedaan musim dan bangsa terhadap motilitas, konsentrasi, pH, dan volume semen segar Sapi Bali dan Sapi Madura. Penelitian metode survey stratified random sampling, sampel setiap bangsa yaitu 7 ekor sapi. Data sampel diperoleh dari Balai Besar Inseminasi Buatan Singosari Malang Bulan September 2013-Agustus 2014. Variabel yang diamati yaitu motilitas, konsentrasi, pH, dan volume semen segar. Musim dibagi menjadi 6 grup (R1= awal, R2= pertengahan, dan R3= akhir musim hujan, serta R4= awal, R5= pertengahan, dan R6= akhir musim kemarau). Data dianalisis menggunakan repeated random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan musim dan bangsa tidak berpengaruh (P>0,05) terhadap motilitas, konsentrasi, dan volume semen segar, namun berpengaruh (P<0,05) terhadap pH semen segar. Motilitas semen segar tertinggi dicapai oleh Sapi Bali 54,265 % pada pertengahan musim hujan, serta terendah dicapai oleh Sapi Madura 51,816 % pada akhir musim kemarau. Konsentrasi semen segar tertinggi dicapai oleh Sapi Madura 1.237,867 x 106/ml pada akhir musim hujan, serta terendah dicapai oleh Sapi Bali 916,904 x 106/ml pada pertengahan musim kemarau. pH semen segar tertinggi dicapai oleh Sapi Madura 6,567 pada pertengahan musim kemarau, serta terendah dicapai oleh Sapi Madura 6,420 pada awal musim kemarau. Volume semen segar tertinggi dicapai oleh Sapi Bali 5,382 ml/ejakulat pada akhir musim kemarau, serta terendah dicapai oleh Sapi Madura 3,562 ml/ejakulat pada pertengahan musim hujan. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The purpose of this research is to examine the influence of the season and breed on the motility, concentration, pH, and volume fresh semen Bali bull and Madura bull. This research used survey method with a stratified random sampling, with 7 bulls for each breed. Data samples of September 2013 - August 2014 were taken at Balai Besar Inseminasi Buatan Singosari Malang. The observed variables were the motility, concentration, pH, and fresh semen volume. The influence of the season were devided into 6 groups (R1= the beginning, R2= the middle, R3= the end of the rainy season; R4= the beginning, R5= the middle, and R6= the end of dry season). Data was analyzed by using repeated random sampling method. The results showed that the season and breed had no effect (P>0,05) on the motility, concentration, and volume, however had an effect on the pH of fresh semen. The highest motility of fresh semen was achieved by Bali bull with 54,265 % at the mid rainy season, and the lowest one was by Madura bull with 51,816 % at the end of dry season. The highest concentration of fresh semen was by Madura bull with 1.237,867 x 106/ml at the end of the rainy season, and the lowest one was by Bali bull with 916,904 x 106/ml at the mid of dry season. The highest pH of fresh semen was by Madura bull with 6,567 at the mid of dry season, and the lowest one was by Madura bull with 6,420 at the beginning of dry season. The highest volume of fresh semen was by Bali bull with 5,382 ml/ejaculation in the end of dry season, and the lowest one was by Madura bull with 3,562 ml/ejaculation at the mid of rainy season. |
