| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Sistem Irigasi Sprinkler Model Butterfly Rotary (SMBR) Tipe MS318A merupakan paket teknologi irigasi sederhana dan ekonomis yang dewasa ini banyak dikenal dan digunakan oleh para petani dataran tinggi tropis untuk mengairi tanaman sayuran termasuk kentang pada musim kemarau. Namun, kinerja Sistem Irigasi tersebut terutama terkait dengan keefektifan suplai/debit air dan penjadwalan irigasinya belum secara mendalam diketahui dan dipublikasikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menguji kinerja Sistem Irigasi SMBR Tipe MS318A melalui identifikasi suplai/debit, sebaran, keseragaman, dan laju aplikasi air curah yang dikeluarkan, serta (2) memperoleh kapasitas dan penjadwalannya yang optimum pada lahan tumpangsari kentang atlantik dan teh dengan variasi jenis mulsa. Penelitian berlokasi di Desa Pandansari, Kecamatan Paguyangan, Kabupaten Brebes, Propinsi Jawa Tengah, dan pengamatan lapang dilakukan selama 3 bulan terhitung sejak bulan Mei - Agustus 2015. Sebanyak 6 demplot tumpangsari kentang atlantik dan teh (3,5 m x 3,5 m) disiapkan masing-masing untuk perlakuan Mulsa Plastik (MP), Mulsa Jerami (MJ), dan Tanpa Mulsa (TM), dan Sistem Irigasi SMBR-Tipe MS318A dengan tinggi nozel 2 m dipasang pada demplot-demplot tersebut. Sekitar 20 gelas penampung air diletakan di sekeliling Sistem Irigasi tersebut secara simetris mencakup arah utara, selatan, timur, dan barat dengan interval jarak 0,5 m. Sistem Irigasi SMBR Tipe MS318A dioperasikan selama 2-3 jam, kemudian beberapa variable kinerja antara lain: suplai/debit, sebaran, keseragaman, dan laju aplikasi air curah diukur dan dihitung berdasarkan air yang tertampung setiap 30 menit. Kapasitas dan interval penjadwalan ditentukan melalui analisis korelasi antara variable-variabel di atas dengan data kadar air tanah dan kebutuhan air tanaman pada masing-masing demplot, serta hasilnya ditampilkan secara grafis. SMBR-Tipe MS318A menghasilkan kinerja optimum dengan suplai/debit air 0,66 liter/detik, sebaran air curah 5 m, koefisien keseragaman 94,03% dengan laju aplikasi 27,154 mm/jam. Kapasitas irigasi sebesar 274,60 mm dengan interval penjadwalan 4 hari sekali tercapai secara optimum pada demplot tumpangsari dengan perlakuan Mulsa Jerami (MJ). |

Inggris) | Sprinkler Irrigation System of Butterfly Rotary Model (SMBR) and MS318 Type is a simple and economically-cheap irrigation package, which is currently becoming well-known and applied by farmers in tropical high agricultural areas to irrigate vegetables crops including potato in dry season. However, the performances of the irrigation system especially those related to the affectivity of the water supply/debit and scheduling have been comprehensively unknown and published yet. This research was aimed: (1) to evaluate the performances of [S-MBR-MS318A Type] Irrigation System through identification on supply/debit, distribution, uniformity, and application rate of the outputted sprinkled water; and (2) to obtain the optimum capacity and scheduling for the application on the potato-tea intercropping plots with various mulching. The experiment was located in Pandansari village, Paguyangan district, Brebes regency, Central Java province, and the field monitoring was conducted during 3 months started from May to August 2015. Totally 6 potato-tea intercropping plots (3,5 m x 3,5 m each) were prepared for various treatments of Plastic (MP), Rice-Straw (MJ), and No-Mulch (TM), and the [S-MBR-MS318A Type] Irrigation System was installed in the plots with nozzle height of 2 m. About 30 collecting glasses were symmetrically placed in surrounding the Irrigation System covering fourth (north, south, east, and west) directions with distance interval of 0,5 m. The Irrigation System was then operated for about 2-3 hours, and several performance variables (supply/debit, distribution, uniformity, and application rate) were measured and calculated from the collected sprinkled water of every 30 minutes monitoring. The capacity and scheduling interval were determined by confirming the measured variables to the soil wetness and crop water requirements of each plot, and the results was presented graphically. The [S-MBR-MS318A Type] Irrigation System produced the optimum performances with supply/water debit of 0,66 L/sec., sprinkled water distribution up to 5 m, and uniformity coefficient of 94,03% with application rate of 27,154 mm/hour. The capacity of 274,60 mm with scheduling interval of 4 days was optimally achieved on the intercropping plot with Rice-Straw Mulch (MJ) treatment. |
