| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Balai Pembibitan Ternak Unggul-Hijauan Pakan Ternak Sembawa Palembang pada tanggal 11 Februari 2016 sampai dengan 24 Februari 2016. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mempelajari pengaruh penyapihan pedet 105 hari dan 205 hari terhadap post partum heat dan intensitas estrus induk sapi Brahman. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survey. Parameter yang diamati meliputi waktu post-partum heat induk dan intensitas estrus induk yang terdiri dari intensitas estrus cervix, intensitas estrus lendir, intensitas estrus vulva, dan intensitas estrus tabiat sapi Brahman induk mulai tahun 2012 sampai tahun 2015. Data yang diperoleh diuji dengan uji beda rata-rata dua sampel tidak berhubungan (t-test two sample independent). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa waktu penyapihan berpengaruh sangat nyata (p<0,01) (60,16 ± 24,87 hari) vs (62,16 ± 47,02 hari) pada post-partum heat sapi Brahman induk. Perbedaan penyapihan memberikan pengaruh sangat nyata (p<0,01) pada intensitas estrus cervix (2,76 ± 0,42) dan (2,95 ±0,21). Kesimpulan penelitian menunjukkan penyapihan 105 hari mempercepat timbulnya post-partum heat pada induk daripada umur penyapihan pedet 205 hari. Umur penyapihan pedet 105 hari meningkatkan intensitas estrus lendir namun menurunkan intensitas estrus cervix. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The research had been conducted at Balai Pembibitan Ternak Unggul-Hijauan Pakan Ternak Sembawa Palembang from 11 to 24 February 2016. The objective of this research is to study the effects of weaning calves at the age 105 and 205 days old on the post-partum heat and estrus intensity of Brahman cows. This research used a survey method with the parameters being observed were the cows’ post-partum heat period and estrus intensity consisting of the intensities of cervical estrus, mucus estrus, vulvar estrus and that of estrus nature of the cows from 2012 to 2015. Data was tested with the Two Independent Sampel T-Test whose results show that the weaning period was highly significant (p<0.01) (60.16 ± 24.87 days) vs (62.16 ± 47.02 days) to the cows’ post-partum heat. Weaning period differences make a highly significant effect (p<0.01) on the cervical estrus intensity (2.76 ± 0.42) and (2.95 ± 0.21). This experiment shows that weaning calves at the age of 105 days accelerates the post-partum heat of the cows faster than that of 205 days. It increases the intensity of mucus estrus, but reduces the intensity of cervix estrus. |
