| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ukuran linier tubuh dengan bobot non karkas luar sapi Peranakan Simental dan mempelajari hubungan antara ukuran linier tubuh dengan bobot non karkas luar sapi Peranakan Simental. Materi penelitian yang digunakan adalah 50 ekor ternak sapi Peranakan Simental jantan. Variabel yang diamati adalah panjang badan (PB), lebar dada (LeD), dalam dada (DD) dan bobot non karkas luar (kulit, kepala, dan kaki). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan pendekatan purposive sampling. Data yang terkumpul disajikan dalam bentuk tabel deskriptif kemudian dianalisis menggunakan korelasi dan regresi berganda. Hasil menunjukan bahwa rataan untuk PB 130,82 ± 9,04 cm, LeD 43,82 ± 8,40 cm, DD 66,12 ± 5,25 cm, bobot kulit 34,29 ± 5,05 kg, bobot kepala 21,72 ± 2,985 kg, dan bobot kaki 8,97 ± 1,16 kg. Hasil analisis variansi menunjukan bahwa panjang badan, lebar dada, dan dalam dada mempunyai hubungan yang nyata (P<0,05) terhadap bobot kulit, kaki, dan kepala dengan persamaan regresi dan koefisien determinasi masing-masing secara berturut-turut, yaitu kulit = - 11,724 + 0,469 PB + 0,250 LeD - 0,397 DD dengan koefisien determinasi (r2) = 0,777 ; kepala = 9,248 + 0,319 LeD dengan koefisien determinasi (r2) = 0,737 ; kaki = -3,268 + 0,081 PB dengan koefisien determinasi (r2) = 0,811. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa panjang badan dapat digunakan untuk memprediksi bobot kulit dan bobot kaki, lebar dada dapat digunakan untuk memprediksi bobot kepala sapi Peranakan Simental. |

Inggris) | The purpose of this research is to identify the linear size of body with and the weight of outer non-carcass of Simental Crossed bulls and to study the relationship between the linear size of body with and the weight of outer non-carcass of Simental Crossed bulls. The reaserch material was 50 of Simental Crossed bulls. The variables measured were length of body (LoB), width of chest (WoC), depth of chest (DoC) and weight of outer non carcass (skin, head and legs). The reaserch method used a purposive sampling approach to collect the data. Which then was presented in a descriptive table and analyzed with correlation and double regression. The results showed that quantitative characteristics of Simental Crossed bulls for LoB was 130.82 ± 9.04 cm, WoC was 43.82 ± 8,40 cm, DoC was 66.12 ± 5.25 cm, skin weight was 34.29 ± 5.05 kg, head weight was 21.72 ± 2.985 kg, and legs weight was 8.97 ± 1.16 kg. The results of the analysis showed that the body length, the chest width, and the chest depth have a significant relation (P<0.05) to the weight of the skin, legs, and head with the regression equation and coefficients determination respectively , skin = - 11,724 + 0,469 LoB + 0,250 WoC - 0,397 DoC with coefficients determination (r2) = 0,777 ; head = 9,248 + 0,319 WoC with coefficients determination (r2) = 0,737 ; legs = -3,268 + 0,081 LoB with coefficients determination (r2) = 0,811 . Based on these results, it body length can be used to predict the weight of skin and legs, and the chest width can be used to predict weight of head of Simental Crossed bulls. |
