| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Menarche atau menstruasi pertama merupakan salah satu tanda seorang anak perempuan telah memasuki masa pubertas. Usia menarche semakin mengalami penurunan, maka dari itu diperlukan kesiapan untuk menghadapinya agar peristiwa menarche ini tidak dipersepsikan negatif. Terdapat banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi kesiapan seorang anak menghadapi menarche diantaranya adalah tipe kepribadian dan pengetahuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara tipe kepribadian dan pengetahuan dengan kesiapan menghadapi menstruasi pertama (menarche) pada siswi SD Negeri 1 dan 2 Karangwangkal Purwokerto. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasi dengan menggunakan desain cross sectional. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalam total sampling dengan besar sampel sebanyak 45 siswi. Analisis data menggunakan uji chi-square. Hasil uji chi-square tipe kepribadian dengan kesiapan menarche menunjukkan nilai p=0,783 (>0,05). Sedangkan pengetahuan dengan kesiapan menarche menunjukkan nilai p=0,001 (<0,05). Maka dapat disimpulkan tidak terdapat hubungan antara tipe kepribadian dengan kesiapan menarche. Akan tetapi, terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan dengan kesiapan menarche. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Menarche or first menstrual period is a sign of female child entering puberty. The age of menarche is getting decreased, therefore the readiness is required to face it, so that menarche may not be perceived as something negative. There are many factors that influence the child’s readiness to face menarche, such as types of personality and knowledge. This research aimed to determine the relationship between types of personality and knowledge to readiness to face first menstrual period (menarche) in female students of SD Negeri 1 and 2 Karangwangkal Purwokerto. This research was a correlational study using a cross sectional design. This research used total sampling technique with a sample size of 45 students. Data analysis was carried out by using chi-square test. The result of chi-square test showed that there was no correlation between types of personality and readiness to face menarche p=0.783 (>0.05), while there was a correlation between knowledge and readiness to face menarche p=0.001 (<0.05).There was no relationship between types of personality to the readiness for menarche. However, there was a relationship between knowledge and readiness for menarche. |
