| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Daun jarak pagar (Jatropha curcas) berpotensi sebagai antiinflamasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antiinflamasi fraksi kloroform daun jarak pagar (FKDJP) terhadap edema tikus yang diinduksi karagenan. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan Post Test Only Controlled Groups. Dua puluh tikus jantan galur Wistar dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok (n=4), kelompok kontrol negatif (CMC-Na 0,5 %), kelompok kontrol positif (natrium diklofenak 4,5 mg/kg BB), kelompok III, IV dan V diberi fraksi kloroform 150, 300, dan 600 mg/kg BB secara per oral 15 menit setelah diinduksi karagenan. Volume edema diamati pada jam ke-1 sampai ke-6. Histopatologi yang menunjukkan jumlah neutrofil diukur pada jam ke-6. Data yang didapat diuji dengan ANOVA satu arah dan dilanjutkan uji LSD. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa FKDJP dosis 150 dan 600 mg/kg BB memiliki aktivitas antiinflamasi dengan nilai persentase DAI sebesar 57,41% dan 48,65%. Pengamatan histopatologi menunjukkan bahwa penurunan jumlah neutrofil terjadi pada semua dosis FKDJP yang mengindikasikan efek antiinflamasi. Efektivitas antiinflamasi FKDJP tidak bergantung pada dosis. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa FKDJP dosis 150 dan 600 mg/kg BB berpotensi sebagai antiinflamasi. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Jatropha (Jatropha curcas) leaves potentially as an anti-inflammatory. The study were to determine the anti-inflammatory activity chloroform fraction of Jatropha leaves on carragenan induced rat edema. This study was design by Post Test Only Controlled Grups. Twenty male Wistar rats, divided into 5 groups (n=4), negative control group (CMC-Na 0,5 %), positive control grup (Na-diclofenac 4,5 mg/kg BW), group III,IV and V were given chloroform fraction dose of 150, 300 and 600 mg/kg BW orally 15 minutes after carragenan induced edema. Volume of edema was observed every 1 to 6 hour. Histopathology that indicated number of neutrophils were examined on hour-6. Data were analyzed by one-way ANOVA and followed by LSD test. The results showed that chloroform fraction of Jatropha leaves at dose of 150 and 600 mg/kg BW had antiinflammatory with percentage of antiinflammation were 57,41% and 48,65%. Histopathology results showed that decreasing number of neutrophils chloroform fraction of Jatropha leaves indicated an antiinflammatory effect. This result showed that antiinflammatory effect of chloroform fraction of Jatropha leaves was dose independent. These results indicate that the chloroform fraction of Jatropha leaves at dose 150 and 600 mg/kg BW potentially as an antiinflammatory. |
