| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengkaji umur dan bangsa yang paling tepat dengan spermatozoa terbaik terhadap konsentrasi semen segar dan post thawing motility recovery rate sapi Friesian Holstein, Simmental, dan Limousin. Penelitian menggunakan metode survey dengan stratified random sampling, sehingga sampel yang digunakan untuk masing-masing bangsa yaitu 7 ekor Friesian Holstein, Simmental, dan Limousin. Data sampel tahun 2006 – 2014 diambil di Balai Inseminasi Buatan. Variabel yang diamati yaitu konsentrasi semen segar dan post thawing motility recovery rate. Pengaruh umur dikategorikan menjadi 5 kategori yaitu umur 3 tahun, 4 tahun, 5 tahun, 6 tahun dan 7 tahun. Data dianalisis menggunakan repeated random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa umur dan bangsa berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap konsentrasi semen segar dan tidak berpengaruh (P>0,05) terhadap post thawing motility recovery rate. Konsentrasi semen segar tertinggi untuk 3 bangsa sapi dicapai oleh sapi Simmental yaitu 1667,57 juta/ml. Diikuti oleh sapi Friesian Holstein yaitu 1284,22 juta/ml dan terendah dicapai oleh sapi Limousin yaitu 1227,53 juta/ml. Puncak produksi konsentrasi semen segar pada umur 5 tahun untuk sapi Simmental yaitu 1725,49 ± 313,2 juta/ml dan sapi Friesian Holstein yaitu 1345,01 ± 310,7 juta/ml, umur 6 tahun untuk sapi Limousin yaitu 1276,42 ± 268,0 juta/ml. Post thawing motility recovery rate tertinggi dicapai sapi Limousin yaitu 60%. Tertinggi kedua dicapai sapi Friesian Holstein yaitu 59% dan tertinggi ketiga dicapai sapi Simmental yaitu 58%. Puncak produksi post thawing motility recovery rate untuk sapi Limousin adalah umur 4 tahun, 5 tahun dan 7 tahun yaitu 61%, untuk sapi Friesian Holstein umur 4 tahun dan untuk sapi Simmental umur 5 tahun yaitu 60%. |

Inggris) | The purpose of this research is to examine the most appropriate influence of the age and breed with the best spermatozoa quality on the fresh semen concentration and post thawing motility recovery rate in Friesian Holstein, Simmental and Limousin. This research used a survey methode with stratified random sampling, with the sample of each breed were 7 Friesian Holstein, Simmental, and Limousin cattle. Data samples from 2006 to 2014 were taken at Balai Besar Inseminasi Buatan Singosari Malang. The observed variables were fresh semen concentration and post thawing motility recovery rate. The influence of the age was categorized into 5 groups namely 3 years, 4 years, 5 years, 6 years and 7 years. The data was analyzed by using a repeated random sampling. The results showed that the age and breed had a highly significant effect (P<0,01) on the fresh semen concentration, but not (P>0,05) on the post thawing motility recovery rate. The highest concentration of the fresh semen out of the 3 cattle was reached by Simmental, which was 1667,57 million/ml, and was followed by Friesian Holstein, 1284,22 million/ml, and lowest one was by Limousin, 1227,53 million/ml. The highest production of fresh semen concentration at the age of 5 years for Simmental was 1725,49 ± 313,2 million/ml and Friesian Holstein 1345,01 ± 310,7 million/ml, and that of 6 years for Limousin was 1276,42 ± 268,0 million/ml. The highest post thawing motility recovery rate was reached by Limousin, 60% and was followed by Friesian Holstein, 59%, and lowest was Simmental, 58%. The highest production of post thawing motility recovery rate for Limousin was at the age of 4, 5 and 7 years, which was 61%, for Friesian Holstein was at the age of 4 years and Simmental was at the age of 5 years, which was 60%. |
