| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur kecernaan bahan kering dan bahan organik empat jenis pakan dengan kombinasi konsentrat-hijauan in vitro. Penelitian dilaksanakan mulai tanggal 15 januari-7 Febuari 2016 di Laboratorium Ilmu Nutrisi Makanan Ternak, Fakultas Peternakan, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Purwokerto. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode eksperimen dan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan empat perlakuan dan lima kali ulangan. Peubah yang diukur adalah kecernaan bahan kering dan kecernaan bahan organik.Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis variansi.Hasilpenelitian menunjukan bahwa penambahan 70% konsentrat pada daun jagung, daun tebu, daun bambu, dan alang-alang berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap kecernaan bahan kering dan bahan organik. Uji lanjut BNJ menunjukkan P2 vs P4(14,720 4,366 % vs 25.302 6,120%) dan P3 vs P4 (14,354 4,176% vs 25.302 6,120%) berbeda nyata (P<0,05). Sedangkan antara P1 vs P2 (20,286 5,271% vs 14,720 4,366%), P1 vs P3 (20,286 5,271% vs 14,354 4,176%), P1 vs P4 (20,286 5,271% vs 25.302 6,120%), dan P2 vs P3 (14,720 4,366 % vs 14,354 4,176%) tidak berbeda nyata (P>0.05). Kecernaan bahan organik dari P3 vs P4 (17,160 4,630% vs 33,370 6,141 %) menunjukkan hasil yang berdeda sangat nyata, P2 vs P4 (22,634 7,262% vs 33,370 6,141 %) dan P1 vs P3 (28,306 2,066% vs 17,160 4,630% ) menunjukkan hasil yang berbeda nyata, sedangkan P1 vs P2, P1 vs P4 dan P2 vs P3 menunjukkan hasil yang tidak berbeda nyata. Kesimpulan dari penelitian adalahhijauan pakan yang mempunyai serat kasar yang tinggi dapat dijadikan pakan alternatif pada saat musim kemarau tetapi pemberiannya harus diimbangi dengan konsentrat atau pakan sumber protein lainnya.

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The purpose of this study was to determine the digestibility of dry matter and organic matter of various forages in cattle feed. The research had been conducted from January 15th, 2016 until February 7th, 2016 at the Laboratory of Animal Nutrition and Feed Sciences, Faculty of Animal Science, University of Jenderal Sudirman, Purwokerto. The method used was an experiment method, using completely randomized design with four treatments and five replications. The measured variables were digestibility of dry matter and organic matter. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance. The results showed that the treatment affected very significantly the digestibility of dry matter and organic matter (P<0.01). Based on further testing of Honestly Significant Difference test (HSD) by comparing the mean values of treatments, it showed that dry matter digestibility between P2 vs P4 (14.720 4.366% vs 25.302 6.120%) and P3 vs P4 and (14.354 4.176% vs 25.302 6.120%)were significantly different (p<0.05). While between P1 vs P2(20.286 5.271% vs 14.720 4.366 %), P1 vs P3 (20.286 5.271% vs 14.354 4.176%) P1 vs P4 (20.286 5.271% vs 25.302 6.120%) and P2 vs P3 (14.720 4.366 % vs 14.354 4.176%), they were not significantly different (P>0.05). Digestibility of organic matter between P3 vs P4 (17.160 4.630% vs 33.370 6.141%) showed very significantly different, P2 vs P4 (22.634 7.262% vs 33.370 6.141%) and P1 vs P3 (28.306 2.066% vs 17.160 4.630%) showed significantly different results, whereas P1 vs P2, P1 vs P4 and P2 vs P3 showed results that were not significantly different. The conclusion of the study is, forages with crude fiber can be used as the alternative feeds during dry seasons but the feeding must be balanced with feed concentrates or other protein sources.
